So in general I have a lot of trouble choosing a picture for a character which I why I began using the fancy rendering program but that's a lot of work and generally far too annoying for the everyday player who doesn't like bothering with strange glitches an the fact that absolutely no clothes match the freaking model your using...anyway...

I found this site that allows you to search a wonderful database of characters based on their physical attributes. The site is

Now it may not provide certain things like Karashima's tentacle type in the search engine, but it will get you some really good examples by age group, hair color, length, eye color, etc. Even clothes though that is really limiting. In any case, it not only provides you with a picture, but a name to go searching for more pictures that might be more appropriate, or whether it's a character from an anime, a game, an original character, an ova or possibly even a hentai. Not that any of us would travel down that route surely...

It has a more traditional search engine, though you have to register for an account (offers both free and paid ones) in order to search for more than one key word at a time. This site is where I found my grown up pics for Toph.

WARNING most of the pics on this site are very, very NSFW. Might be a bad idea to look at it where your souse/parent/boss/teacher can see you. But say you want to look for a some kind of female elf or monster girl (or combo of both), just type in 'elf monster_girl and see what comes up.' If you looking for a particular character who's image you'd want to use (Like Toph or Samus) just type in their name and prepare to be wowed.
