Petting Zoo Blues (Rin)

[Alumina Nadine]

Alumina felt happiness tingle all over her body at holding Rin's hand. Not that she'd ever show the shop-keeper that, this was obvious from the red flush covering her face and the pout across her lips. But deep down inside Alumina cared deeply about Rin.

After arriving at the petting zoo the girls had agreed to split the cost of the tickets (neither could agree who should pay so this seemed to be the best way to go) and Alumina felt herself immediately drawn to the multi-colored chicks running around the corner of the pin.

The chicks's feathers were obviously dyed by owners to make them look more exotic and appealing to children but Alumina was so old she automatically assumed they were some special breed of chicken that had been bred recently.

"Interesting.."said a convinced Alumina as she scooped up one of the chicks in her hand and began to play with it with her fingers,the chick chirped and fluttered its little wings in response and its small black eyes darted around the room.

[Rin]

Hmm… the hand in hers thing was fun… Rin had seen couples do this. So she proposed it and had unceremoniously take Lumi’s hand without really asking a smile on her face the whole time. Then of course Lumi hadn’t wanted Rin to pay for it, and Rin had said she would so they ended up with the unceremonious purchasing of their own tickets. Well whatever it wasn’t THAT bad… for a first date thus far. Hehe… she’d had sex before the first date.

The chickens… were funny looking. She couldn’t help but wonder if the meat would be a different color when they were cooked. Of course… she had to ask which made the person running that particular part mad… and some of the children there seemed shocked at the thought of cooking chicken… yeah… eventually it was going to happen to them so Rin wasn’t really getting their upset attitudes.

Lumi liked them it seemed so Rin was fine with hanging out here as her gaze wandered to a few other places… they had monkeys throwing stuff at passerby, a typical thing. In once cage they had a really big cat that seemed nice… and drugged to stay calm. Was that legal in this town? She didn’t see why not since they sold PEOPLE here drugging a cat to keep it calm shouldn’t be that big a deal.

Her gaze of course landed on the three foxes. So… she made her way into hat direction pulling Lumi behind her… literally.

Alumina began to absorb her entire interest in the chick. It seemed like everyone else was gone and only she and the chick were the remaining living beings in the universe, Alumina ran through her mind how the hell could a chick possibly be blue.

Then she felt Rin begin to pull her,"R-rin!"Alumina shouted in surprise, she dropped the chick and was afraid it broke something but it simply wobbled back up from the ground and returned to the rest of it's multi-colored brethren.

Alumina was shocked at seeing foxes in cages of all places, though Venus was a bit of a shady city in some areas of town so she shouldn't have been to surprised. Alumina noticed one of the foxes shared a striking resemblance to Rin and she arched an eye-brow.

"How about that.."

[Rin]

She turned to look at Lumi after staring at the foxes for a moment. “How about what?” She asked as she turned back a cookie came out of no where and the foxes went a bit nuts. “What do you mean they don’t feed you cookies here that’s outrageous!” Rin said maybe a bit too loud.

“Don’t feed the animals!” Came a man’s shout from back at the chickens. Heh like he would see Rin’s lightning fast Reflexes… ok maybe not THAT fast, but quick enough. The cookie was split in three and in the cage in no time.

“I’ll come back for you tonight.” She said in a whispered tone as if anyone but Lumi could hear her anyways over the screaming cacophony that was children. “Where to next she said standing up and looking at the girl beside her. “Where’d the blue chicken go.” Chick… chicken they were all the same to her.

Alumina pointed slowly over to the group of chicks where the blue chick had struggled back too. She paused and looked Rin deeply in the eyes before speaking to the fox,"Rin....can you talk to the foxes?"Alumina asked.

Alumina had always wondered what made Rin a fox demon in the first place. She had said their kind barely aged,ever, much like a vampire but death would come upon her if necessary. What was a fox demon anyways? Was it a fox turned human, or were they born that way?

Alumina felt embarrassed for not knowing the history of her own lover's race that well and began to blush at her own ignorance.

[Rin]

“Ehh… what?” Rin asked as she looked at Lumi.” She could have sworn the girl had said something, but now… she wasn’t so sure. Maybe Lumi was in the habit of moving her mouth without speaking… no Rin hadn’t seen the girl do anything like that just yet. Maybe she was warming her mouth up for kissing? No… she had to have said something. Only Rin didn’t hear it over the sound of the child that ran by screaming… very loudly for his mommy as he was chased by a small lizard… ok so the lizard was about three foot tall.. and a baby dragon BUT that wasn’t the point.

Rin slipped another cookie into the pen while the man was trying to save the kid form the playful dragon. Hehe… it was funny.

Alumina frowned and blushed in frustration at being ignored for a stupid fox and their cookie. She decided she needed to get Rin's attention so without a word she jumped on Rin's back and used her little fangs to nibble gently on the shop keeper's ears.

[Rin]

Rin’s eyes went wide. She hadn’t expected Lumi to ‘jump her’. Not that she really minded that much. Actually it was kinda nice to be on the receiving end of the ‘fun’ for once. Only Lumi probably forgot where they were… and all the parents were angrily looking at them. And that gate guy that told her not to feed the fixes was glaring at them like “get out”. Her arm reached around and grasped Lumi’s waist pulling her around from behind up to her front then carried the girl bridal style out of eye sight.

When they weren’t being glared/stared/gawked at anymore she put Lumi down and sighed… only to be scared by a big cat Roaring in her ears. “GAHH!”

Alumina blushed as Rin carried her and was about request the girl put her down when she heard a roar coming from a wild cat near Rin, she giggled. "There's nothing to be afraid of.."I love cats."Alumina smiled and walked over to the caged animal as Rin let her down.

As it began to become late in the morning the sun began to rise over the earth's edges and it's massive rays traveled across the ground reaching even Venus. Alumina suddenly felt her ankle burn, which was the part of her body in the sun while the rest was under the roof with the rest of the petting zoo,she screamed in pain and pulled her foot back.

[Rin]

Rin was there in an instant pulling Lumi out of the suns rays… or really Rin had thought the evil cat had done something to Lumi. She glared at the cat and it roared back at her. Rin stuck her tongue out at the thing and it did the same back. “Chh evil cat.” Rin said and started to feel all over Lumi.

“Did it hurt you?” She said still feeling.

"It's the stupid sun..I ruined our day."Alumina explained, the touch of Rin's hand gently carressing her ankle was a very pleasurable one,enough to bring a smile back on her sour face. "Thank you checking on me.."Alumina said.

[Rin]

Hmm… right Vampire. Rin had forgotten with Lumi being so normally human and out in the sun most of the time… though she did always seem to fall in the shade somehow. Pity it wasn’t overcast today. “Rin’s hand ran sensually up Lumi’s leg and she smiled at her as she past her face. She pulled lumi into a hug. “it’s always my pleasure to feel you.” Rin said with a smirk.
She leaned in and kissed Lumi pressing her tongue into the others mouth. She had made sure before starting she was far enough from the sun that she could take the kiss as long as she wanted.

Alumina closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around Rin's back. It was rather hard to do since the fox's back was rather wide and Lumi's own arms were rather short, but it worked. Soon children began to gather around the two watching..and parents...and animals.

[Rin]

Rin… as impossible it is to believe managed to hold back her more… carnal desires to do more than merely hug the girl to her and kiss her deeply. It was a good thing as well since she wasn’t sure what would have happened to them at the family oriented environment. Not that she really cared to much. This was where Lumi had wanted to go though so she would have to stick it out. Besides… it had alerted her to the caged foxes.

After coming up for air a SECOND time she pulled away the smile still on her face and the taste of Lumi still present in her mouth… which she knew would be for a short while after at least. It had a distinctly Irony taste to it… her taste did.

Alumina blushed and her eyes looked at the ground,she wiped Rin's kiss of her lips with the back of her hand and frowned. "Don't do random things like that in public..."she said despite the fact she had engaged in the kiss as much as Rin did.

Alumina stood up and waddled over to the cage foxes, to her they seemed like everyday foxes but to Rin they probably came off as more,maybe even as friends or family. Alumina turned to Rin,"Can you talk to them Rin...or are you really just that crazy?"
