The great thing about castles were that they required a very large staff to operate and maintain. The great thing about events like the one the princess was holding was that there were even more people crowding the castle than normal. That allowed people like Daring Jo ample opportunity to slip on a disguise and move about unnoticed.
Today, she was a servant. Dressed plainly and manuevering around the castle, while carrying out fake chores. So long as she looked busy, most of the royalty would overlook. And that gave plenty of time to case the castle.
A small pleasant smile was on her face...but it hid a wide and beaming grin. There were just so many pretty women and so many pretty things to steal!
'Ah, Anactoria truly is a woman after my own heart.' she thought, 'I'd love to throw party such as this. If only doing so wouldn't wind up with me being immediately arrested. Oh well.'
She aided a couple of maids in cleaning up the table in the banquet hall. This was a good opportunity to slip a few pieces of silverware into some hidden pockets. When she did eat home, Jo preferred to eat in style.
Already she could find plenty of easy marks. This could very well be the biggest heist ever, if she played her cards right. Of course, she would also have to find her way to the beds of plenty of the princess' guests. And the coupe de' tat, the royal bed of Anactoria herself! Jo was planning on being very busy.

A bit overwhelmed by the amount of people in attendance to the party Skye decides to loaf around and socialize with the maids. Spotting Jo as she snuck the silverware into various hidden places she grins 'here may be someone who may proove to be fun' she thought to herself and sneakily snuck up behind her taking a random spoon not so well hidden out of a pocket before saying loud enough to give her a start "Hi what are you doing? was the cutlery lonely?" lowering her last line to a whisper

It was a little peculiar. Especially since Jo prided herself on her talents. But being spotted, red handed? Unacceptable! What sort of sorcery was used to expose her thievery. But, like it or not, she was busted. And with her plans, she needed to play it cool. So far, this woman had not brought along anyone that could throw her in the dungeon.
"Ah...my apologies miss." she responded meekly. She turned and bowed her head. She was still dressed as a maid and did need to play up the part. Unless it was completely blown, she was determined to maintain her cover.
"I certainly hope this minor indiscretion can remain between just...you and me?" she whispered as she glanced up. Jo was still all in on the "Shy Servant" act. It may seem a little out of place for such a character to be attempting theft. But, she felt more than comfortable drumming up some excuse.

"Please don't call me miss my name's Skye. Now would it be fair to ask you to return yours in kind?" grinning still she had no intention of doing anything to this player of the shy maid. But she did love to stir people after all so she figured why not. "And I am more then happy to keep this between us however you must repay the favor with a date and some entertainment. I grow bored of all these people in fact I even grow a little scared so I need someone to keep my mind at bay."

"I am Corinne." Jo replied. Not the first false name to spill from her lips and it see wasn't going to be her last. Fortunately the damage was minimal. Whoever this Skye was, she didn't seem all that concerned with petty theft. Things were starting to look good for the Daring Lady.
"Why, it would be my pleasure." she answers quietly and politely, "I know of a few places. That is...if you wouldn't mind traveling to some of the more...colorful parts of the city."
Jo was still counting herself as very lucky. A date with a pretty lady was far preferable to a visit with castles dungeon master. And, most likely, the gallows. It was also a goods opportunity to leave the castle and ditch this identity. The rest of her work would have to be done under a different guise.

"Tut tut. Please don't lie to me about your name no matter how good you may be able to hide them from others I won't get in the way of your fun there at any rate. But please be honest with me. " making a show of a mothers telling off voice even though this girl was closer to her own age then most other people she had met.
"So tell me where are these colorful places? what colours do they have there?" unable to help herself with her mild curiosity. Still though she didn't mind venturing as long as there were no major crowds of people.
"Also I think the spoon and knife that you have taken may want a fork to go along with them as well otherwise it will look a bit suspicios when only the fork turns up."
thinking again she grins. "Plus with the whole maid thing. You look cute really cute but it doesn't entirely suit for some reason so before we head out you should probably change. Don't worry if anyone ask's I will just claim your my escort."

Jo was equal parts impressed and frustrated by this woman's ability to see past her disguise. She supposed the jig was up as soon as ash was caught pilfering silverware. But she was Daring Jo Lockwood! The single greatest thief of all of Terre de Conte! The only person who could see past her disguises was Toph. That was forgivable, given the circumstances there.
"My lady," she said with the barest hint of a smirk, "Corinne will simply have to do."
She was not about to utter her true name with an audience around. For the moment, that meant the difference between walking out and fleeing. It didn't matter how much she was admonished for it, Jo would not bend at all.
"Now as to these places we will be visiting." she said, "They are in the Night's Doorstep. You want entertainment? I can garuntee a show."
Jo gestured towards the door, "Please, after you." she insisted, still playing her part, before lowering her voice to inform Skye, "And I've already taken the forks."

"It definitely sounds like a fun place Corinne. So what form of entertainment will be provided?" curious as she hadn't yet come across the area referred to as the Night's Doorstep.
when she is certain that the two of them were alone she turns to look at the girl she was now walking with and tries to do her best apologetic smile. "Please forgive me for what happened back in there. I am psychic to a degree and was feeling lonely so I let my mind wander. Its the only way I was able to bust you. Its also how I can tell your names not Corinne but I can wait until later for you to tell me what it really is."

So, that was the reason! It felt like a small victory to Jo, at least on a professional level. Not that it made things better in the big picture. But so LNG as this apparent psychic was on her side, there should be no major issues.
"Ah! How fascinating." she said, a smirk drawing it's way on her face, "Well, I'll be sure to make sure you are well informed, by the night's end. As for the forms of entertainment, there are far too many to name. Both traditinal and non-traditional. But more on that to come. In the meantime! I believe you took issue with my style of dress. I believe it's time for us to dress ourselves appropriately for a night out on the town. And if you have a weapon, I suggest bringing it along. I will have plenty. And they are not silverware."

not fully understanding what she meant by traditinal and non-traditional fun Skye grins and mentally prepares herself for anything "'I am alright when it comes to weapons Corinne trust me on that as for our clothing shall we make a quick detour by my room I have some clothing that may suit your liking if it does feel free to keep it however please know that I own no jewellery that people of this land would be familiar with so you can take some if you wish but you wouldn't be able to sell any of it."

"My aren't we generouse?" Jo smirked, "I've taken my share of show pieces, before. Always fun conversation starters. Besides, where's the fun in showing off, when you can't look good doing it?"
Jo had become slightly more embolded at the lack of by-standers. With most of the guests of for whatever post-meal activities they had planned and the rest of the servants busy cleaning in the hall, there was practically no one left around to get the gist of what Jo was saying.
"You are quickly turning into one of the more interesting people to be invited here." she remarked, "I do believe we are going to have one very eventful evening."
Still, Jo was slightly disappointed. When the clothing and jewels were offered that certainly took away the fun in figureing out how to swipe them. The value was always secondary to the challenge of the act itself.

"Hmm what do you mean by more interesting? I am just myself is all and there is one thing I would be impressed if you'd manage to get for me. I kinda have to keep the tiara signifying the princesshood of Australasia kept locked up but I kinda have forgotten how to get in so if you can manage to do that you can have anything of mine that you see fit." arriving at her room she opens the door and welcomes the girl in.
"Please don't mind the mess I usually do all the cleaning myself and haven't been bothered to do it for a while." the room showing it a little compared to all the others with a few dresses and trousers thrown all about the floor as well as her claymore hanging off the side of her bed rather carelessly and in the middle of said bed was a solid steel case holding her title inside.

"Lock trouble?" she smirked broadly, "Should be a simple matter."
Jo was never lacking for confidence, that was for sure. And the importance of the item locked away was particularly tantelizing. While she was never one for tiaras, it certainly would qualify for a good showpiece.
At the room in question, Jo strutted over to the safe and got right work. She ran her fingers around it and gave it a close inspection. This would present a pleasant enough challenge. From yet another secret pocket, the thief produced a small leather bundle. It unfolded to reveal a number of instruments of her profession and Jo was rightto work.
"I have seen far worse, my dear." she grinned, "Now, allow me to demonstrate why my talents have led me to such noteriaty that I have found it necessary to not disclose my true name!"
She had been working as she spoke. The final word of her sentabce punctuated by the click of the lock. The door to the safe swung open and the tiara was revealed inside. A temporary condition, given Jo's swift fingers.
The tiara was soon being turned around inthe curious thief's hands as she gave it a close inspection. "Yes, yes I can see tour royalty certainly is proud of it's station! Exquisite! You should be careful, darling. Who knows what sort of shady character might get their hands on it?"
She gave a devilish grin and hnded it back to it's rightful owner.

"I can definitely see that you are a master of your trade." grinning as she received her tiara and places it on her head. To the sounds of some clicks and whirs the tiara fastens itself on as well unable to be removed except for if the princess herself wishes to take it off. "So umm" blushes slightly. "How does it look? I never really did like wearing it all that much even though my mum's say that one day I will have to rule the entire kingdom wearing this. Gee thats not gonna be much fun." laughing softly she quickly glances around the room and spotting an exquisite white dress she picks it up. "Hmm I reckon this would look good on you if you want it. Also umm" scrounging around for a bit in the mess that was her floor she finds a hat made out of a form of sturdy light weight marble and hands it over. "Wear this with it as well I reckon." grinning as she places the rest of her clothes on her bed revealing a stash of jewels in all shapes and colors all foreign to the land and none the same as the next. "Pick any of these that you want you can keep whatever you want as well for helping me get my tiara back." rushing through her words excited to have her tiara and looking forward to hanging out in the so called colorful parts of town.
(Sorry it took a while and its probably not very good I have been busy with school prep and have my mind wandering at the moment.)

Jo listened curiously to the odd clicks and whirs. For a tiara it was quite complex. An item like that would be very hard to move on the black market. But it would quite fetching in one of her safe houses. She moved on to inspect the dress that Skye made so readily available. She was very generous. To the point where Jo had to wonder just what the reasoning was.
"You certainly have good taste!" she declared. She moved about in a flash. In almost a blink of an eye she had tossed her maid outfit carelessly to the side and was now dressed in the offered item.
"Hoho, but we are making a show of what excellent marks we would make." she grinned, "But! That will garuntee quite the interesting evening! I'd advise you to use caution, but so long as I am around there shouldn't be any problems. Well, no problems I can't solve. And I will look very good doing so!"
(OOC: no worries!)
