-sighs-
Greyish orbs stare blankly at the tree branch she sat on as she leaned her back against the huge tree trunk. It had only been how long since she had arrived here? And already she was home sick. Lifting up her silver plated gauntlet, she presses a floral outline design, bringing forth a small screen showing nothing but a static-sounding snow storm. "Mom, are you there?" Levi voiced into the screen as pointed ears twitch lightly in anticipation of hearing a familiar voice. Nothing. Sighing in defeat, she slumps back against the tree. Dropping her gauntlet to her side. "Your invention failed.. auntie." She whispered softly as if to herself.
Levi stares upwards through the trees shade, making note of a few notable glowing spots as the sun tries to penetrate through. Thats when she heard it. "Simone sweety... its mom. Are you okay?" Eyes lit up instantly as she pulled forth her gauntlet. "Mom! Im here, Im here! Im okay!" Levis expression went completely soft for a moment. "Mom... I miss you. I miss you, auntie Rowan, auntie Ssin, everyone. Even Lucia." She said in a soft tone. "We miss you too dearheart. Your sister Ishi hasnt slept in hours since you have left. She really misses her dear oldest sister." Ishi? At the name, Levi closes her eyes as she forms a genuine smile. Thoughts of her baby sister ran by as she couldnt help but shed a tear. "I.. miss her too. Very much."
"Sweetie.. promise me you'll be careful. And dont expose yourself while there. Who is to say what they would do to you if you were founded out. I would be there in a heartbeat but unfortunately the machine has only enough power for one more transfer." Rattling noises could be heard as well as a drilling tool. "IM TRYING MY BEST SISSY! IM WORKING TO GET THAT SOLVED!" Levi could tell instantly whose voice was that, giggling she shook her head, "I believe in you auntie Rowan. And I will mother... I really hope you can visit me sometime soon." Levi shifted her body as she brought forth her legs, hugging them close to her body. "Me too sweetie.." Levi closed her eyes as she sighed in content. "Ah.. umm.. Aeon sissy? I kind of... did something." Levi opened her eyes as she remained quiet. Within seconds the same storm sound from before returned. "Mom?!" Levi leaned forward as she stared at the blank screen. "Mom?! Mom?!" She repeated over and over again. She heard her mothers voice but she could barely make out the words being said. Before the screen went black, she heard.. "...love you dearheart." With a blank expression she stared at the still screen. Love you too... mother..
Levi embraced her gauntlet as she burried her head into her arms. Alone.. again.

skipping happy to be free from her last confinement in the tree from a town that had long since decayed into ruin Leyley was eager to enjoy herself in order to try and get her mind off the pain of finding most of her friends dead. Finding a tree that she recognized she grins and starts walking up it almost as though gravity was irrelivant which to Leyley it was.
Being born as an earth spirit had more then a little advantages such as her immense power that she could easily control with a simple snap of her fingers. However there were its drawbacks as well such as the fact that every time she made a meaningful connection to someone she would be able to have fun with them for what to her seemed like a blink of the eye before they were gone. They say that in old age time travels faster and for her this was definetly so centuries seemed like weeks, millenia mere months, each day was as a second to her everlasting life.
However once this train of thought had passed her she starts whistling to get her mind focused on other happier things. After all she did need to keep herself cheerful or else suffer the depression that came with her longivity. Besides not everyone was mortal her family prooved that all taking different forms of course and all living in different places sure but each would live until their respective element died. Such as Coal her sister and elemental of fire.
Getting side-tracked again she looks around having climbed to a relatively high branch and see's a girl hugging her gauntlet on her arm. Walking up to her silently the 16 year old version look of Leyley appears and she grins. "Hi there. What'cha doing."cursing herself for sounding so stupid she then curtsies with amazing balance for one on a branch so high or in her eyes quite a lot of clumbsiness as she could even do this one footed if she were in her older form. "My name is Leyley mind if I sit with you?"

"Simone Simone Simone... why so down? You look pretty pathetic you know."
Yes, thats pretty much what her little sister Lucia would say at this moment. She didn't need to know how she looked at this state, because she already knew she looked horrendous. Such a vulnerable state... lucky nobody was around to see her like-
"Hi there. What'cha doing."
As if frozen in place, her body stiffens up. Somebody was there?! She slowly lifted her head, grey misty orbs meeting those before her. Why.. the other looked to be only 16-17 in age. Such a young girl. But eyes were eyes.. and she was seen by this young girl in a very vulnerable state. Best to try to make this appear as if she was just tired. She slouched back, hands brought forth to her face as she discreetly wipes away any traces of her previous ordeal. Pulling her hair back away from her face as she continued to listen to the young one in silence.
"My name is Leyley mind if I sit with you?"
Leyley... Levi looked the girl over. She seemed to be a very free spirit. She reminded her of her baby sister Ishi. "Do as you please." Levi finally spoke as she turned her glance away from the girl and onto the view before her. She saw many animals as some hid and some hunted. The very game of survival. "Its not really wise to talk to strangers." She added on as she spoke without making eye contact with the young looking girl next to her.

"Its not as if I can be harmed by strangers so why not speak with them." She added bluntly. "After all I am fairly certain that I am older then anyone you know even though I only look quite young." having lived for as long as she had she didn't particualarly mind revealing details about her life. After all it wasn't as if anyone could kill her, Wound her yes but even those would heal with time.
"So why were you looking so down earlier and please don't worry I am not going to tell anyone I have my own moments of weakness myself sometimes. If you want I can explain most of what I mean but first tell me why you were looking sad. As though you were homesick and that gauntlet provided you with some contact from home in your memories." sitting on the branch now she leaned back not afraid to fall if it came to that.
hoping she wasn't coming across too strong for a newly met person she leans back resting in the air trying to show that she was friendly and didn't mean any offense with the question's. "Also I haven't caught your name yet. May I ask what it is?"

"Its not as if I can be harmed by strangers so why not speak with them."
Well that was a new one. Levi stared at the other girl, eyes half way closed as they slowly drifted away from the girl before her. Leyley seemed to not know the meaning of fear. Or think she was immune to such possible treachery a stranger was capable of doing to her. Very much like her baby sister Ishi.
"After all I am fairly certain that I am older then anyone you know even though I only look quite young."
When it came to ages, Levi wasnt really surprised. Then again.. maybe that was the cause of the young looking girls positive and fearless outlook and behavior. Levi flicked her demonic tail around the branch for more support as she leaned forward as if to get a better look at the girl. "So how old are you exactly?" Usually females hated that question, but for the other to freely tell her that she was older than she looked, then maybe she didnt mind the question. But the next few words from the other girl caught her off guard. She shifted where she sat, thankful to her tail that supported her.
"So why were you looking so down earlier and please don't worry I am not going to tell anyone I have my own moments of weakness myself sometimes. If you want I can explain most of what I mean but first tell me why you were looking sad. As though you were homesick and that gauntlet provided you with some contact from home in your memories."
Levi felt severly uncomfortable. She barely knew this girl and yet she had managed to not only find her at one of the rare moments she had managed to made herself vulnerable but she also pointed out that her gauntlet in question kept her in contact with her family. But with the added part of it being '...in your memories.' Perhaps she didnt catch the bit of her talking to her mother. Levi looked away as she bit her bottom lip. Was she going to lie? She could stick with her first plan of trying to come across as being tired, and nothing more. But yet the girl managed to point out the truth rather quickly. Yet the girl did manage to catch her interest. "You tell me first. Then I might tell you mine." This was the best she could say- for now. Sure the other girl seemed to be sweet as day, she seemed to be another copy of her sister back home. But it was too early to just tell her anything. Plus she did make a promise to her mother about being careful not to exploit herself.
"Also I haven't caught your name yet. May I ask what it is?"
She had the others name, so only returning hers was the right thing to do yes? She didnt know why... but she felt as if given more time she wouldnt mind the company of Leyley. Maybe it was because she reminded her of Ishi. "Levi... My name is Levi."

"Its nice to meet you then Levi." she said nodding at her. "And as you asked politely and I am interested in what you have to say I will tell you my age. Just be careful alright it usually catches people by surprise and I don't want to see you falling off the tree." placing a hand behind Levi just in case.
"I am almost exactly 4.54 billion years old give or take a few centuries." feeling old now she blushes again. "I am ancient I know please don't mention it too much though. I am trusting you with it as my secret Levi."
"Now a deal is a deal its your turn to reveal your secrets." leaving her hand behind her just in case she does end up falling due to the expected surprise of her age.

"And as you asked politely and I am interested in what you have to say I will tell you my age. Just be careful alright it usually catches people by surprise and I don't want to see you falling off the tree."
Hearing the others words, Levi became more and more curious. Though out of habit, her hand went to the hem of her sword once the other laid her hand upon her back. Slowly, she retrieves her hand off the blade. "Old habits die hard.." Was her excuse as if to explain her recent action. She was too into the idea that maybe the woman was just a few thousands years old. That maybe her hand that laid upon her back was simply for over exaggeration purposes. Her mother Aeon was atleast a few thousands herself- though she didnt really like to share that bit of information. Recalling old birthdays that her aunties were usually tortured for their pushing of celebrating yet another year for their beloved oldest sister being alive. If there ever was a time to stay away from her normally calmed mother- it was on her birthday.
"I am almost exactly 4.54 billion years old give or take a few centuries." "I am ancient I know please don't mention it too much though. I am trusting you with it as my secret Levi."
".....4.54 billion?" Levi whispered under ther breath as eyes widened due to pure shock. "Youre... 4.54 billion?" She says yet again as if in need of pushing on the reality of what the other had said. Definitely older than what she ever thought possible. Who was this girl?! Without even realizing it, her tail tightened itself around the branch. She couldnt hide it but indeedly so it was shocking news. "You barely look over 16..." She had to add.
"Now a deal is a deal its your turn to reveal your secrets."
Levi looked over to Leyley as she sighed. She just had to say some... not all. "Im 207 years old, still a youngling but the oldest out of my mothers children. And... you were right. Im homesick. Im very, so very far from my home- yet so close." She decided to end it there. She glanced at her gauntlet before shifting upon her seat.

"Just a young one is right although slightly older then most people I meet." grinning again she laughs a musical tinkling noise that sounds almost as sweet as a bird singing.
"I suppose you'll be wondering how I can be that old and still only look 16 well the answer to that is quite simple in itself. I am the earth spirit. Not a but the." hoping that this piece of news didn't shock her further she looks at her again making eye contact so that Levi could stare deep into her eyes if she wished and see that she was telling the truth.

"Just a young one is right although slightly older then most people I meet."
Levi shook her head slightly before allowing what almost appeared to be a smile, "I get that a lot." After a few seconds had passed, her almost-smile started to fade. Although Levi was oblivious to what had almost happened.
"I suppose you'll be wondering how I can be that old and still only look 16 well the answer to that is quite simple in itself. I am the earth spirit. Not a but the."
"The earth spirit?" Levi asked again as she eyed the girl next to her. She had heard stories and tales of a earth spirit, each one more unbelievable than the next. But to the know Leyley was in fact 'the' earth spirit was enough to make Levi a bit uncomfortable. Her mother Aeon was half high elf, and she did speak of meeting the earth spirit when she was still living within Xioriath. "Do you... remember ever face by chance that you have met on the past?"

"Right back to when people came down from the tree's to live in cave's. Why do you ask?" curious now she grins and to be completely comfortable leans back to the point where she is quite literally sitting underneath the branch her legs parallel to the tree and pointing upwards towards the sky.
"You know I wish more people were gravity resistant it would make the world that much more fun." kicking her feet calmly as though she weren't sitting the wrong way on the branch but the branch was in the wrong place for where she was sitting.

"Right back to when people came down from the tree's to live in cave's. Why do you ask?"
Levi wanted to ask if she knew her mother, or even of her old town Xioriath. But she kept hesitating. There was no way she would remember... maybe. Possibly.. "Do you.. recall ever visiting a land known as Xioriath?"
"You know I wish more people were gravity resistant it would make the world that much more fun."
At the idea, Levi remained deathly silent. Being one from the future 209 years further into it, though it wasnt openly used, she did recall her auntie Rowan making these weird dresses that alternated the wearers body. It would either make them very light or heavy. Her cousins always wore them to play around. But personally, Levi used it for training. Though the idea being mentioned to her like that so out of the blue made her slightly nervous- yet again. This woman was starting to confuse her. Because of her kiddy appearance and openess, she reminded her of her sister back home Ishi. But to question something that WAS possible in the future- her home time was too close to comfort. "...yeah. It is fun.." Then Levi quickly tried to correct herself, "It 'WILL' be fun."

"Ahh so your a time traveler? as for Xioriath I have basically just come from there a few weeks ago. Actually come to think of it you do look a lot like Aoen." gently kicking her feet backwards and forwards she flips herself back up right.
"You might want to watch word usage especially around me. I usually pick up on every tiny slip-up"

"Ahh so your a time traveler? as for Xioriath I have basically just come from there a few weeks ago. Actually come to think of it you do look a lot like Aeon."
". . . ."
Did she just say 'Aeon'? Levi stared at Leyley for what felt like forever. And did she just say 'time-traveler'? Levi now had a glimpse as to what the young girl appearance but with vast knowledge was capable of. She couldnt have known her mothers name was Aeon. So it was true.. Maybe she could push her in another direction. She couldnt afford to get caught. "A time-traveler? Thats a little steep dont you think? And about Aeon.. shes just family is all."
"You might want to watch word usage especially around me. I usually pick up on every tiny slip-up"
So very true... Levi had to stay on her toes and hold her tongue before stating anything. But to prevent anything going suspicious she shook her head, "What do you mean? I couldve simply made a mistake.." She was never one good at lying..

mimicking her exactly even matching her voice she repeats. "Yes it is fun. I mean it WILL be fun" stating that as her main source of proof.
"How would you know that it would be fun? there's only two logical conclusions the first is you can see into the future the second you are a time traveler. The first can easily be ruled out because otherwise you would have sensed me before I had said hi so it leaves only the time traveler conclusion."
grinning again she shakes her head. "Like mother like daughter I suppose. And don't deny that Aeon is your mother I can see the resemblance and when you heard her name your eyes lighted up to those portraying daughterly affection towards her mother."
"But don't worry your secret is safe with me. I have seen and heard many strange things in my time and developed some as well I definitely understand the complexities of time travel though I have never time traveled myself I have lived for a long time and been trapped sometimes as well so I fully understand the details of paradoxes and complexities. For example for you to exist in this time means that you did exist in this time before you came back in time. So if per-say your mother walked by or you found your mother in this time you would simply be another citizen and in the future if indeed you can relay to your mother via that gauntlet there she would have a case of Deja-vu because it would have happened already anyway."
hoping she hadn't lost her in the description she grins and blushes. "Like I said being immortal has been a blessing on my mind" falling silent she whispers "and a curse on my social life."

At the mimic of her words and even her voice, Levi couldnt hide her surprise-written face. So many unanswered questions ran through her thoughts. Little by little she became more and more intrigued at the one known as Leyley. Yes she had the same feeling in appearance as her sister Ishi, but she was in fact the earth spirit. Said to have lived since the earths birth. There had to be a one out a kazillion chances of meeting her. Above all else, why here?
"How would you know that it would be fun? there's only two logical conclusions the first is you can see into the future the second you are a time traveler. The first can easily be ruled out because otherwise you would have sensed me before I had said hi so it leaves only the time traveler conclusion."
"W-well.." Levi started on her response to that but was little to all a lost for words. "It could be that personally I would think the future would be capable to making such items. Also the very idea of floating about does sound fun, so it must be... right?" She was still fighting a battle she was sure she would lose, but being Levi- she wasnt going down without a fight. Earth spirit or not~ she did have her pride. And she did keep a promise to her mother.
"Like mother like daughter I suppose. And don't deny that Aeon is your mother I can see the resemblance and when you heard her name your eyes lighted up to those portraying daughterly affection towards her mother."
"Thats because..." Think of something Levi..."..because shes the closest thing to a mother to me. My parents died when I was younger and Aeon took care of me. We look alike because... my father was Aeons brother." How big of a lie was that... never before had Levi had to lie so much. She barely tried not to. It was going against her code. But what could she do? A promise was a promise.
Levi stared as the other spoke of the complications of time-travel. The fact that she never tried to time travel was intriguing to Levi. She wouldve expected the earth spirit to be a free soul and basically almost god-like. She was so into what the other was saying, she didnt really think of what she was saying. "Well.. auntie Rowan makes the inventions and does all the brain work. I just use them and state pros and cons." Levi halted herself- although a bit too late. She had just burried her own grave. Thoughts of what her mother would be saying in knowing that not even a week has passed and already she was founded out would scare her to hell. Good job Simone..
