"Yes, I suppose there is a lot of talking we should do." Lita moved further into the room but she didn't bother sitting. "Karashima..." Lita paused, she had no idea what to say. It was all so very strange, surreal even. "Look, it's without a doubt that these children are yours biologically, I admit I have no idea how that comes about other than there are some things about demon physiology that I still don't know. Despite that, I don't know if they are your children though. I don't know you."
Lita took a deep breath, this was hard but it was time to speak up. "I don't know what it is you're planning but I know for sure that my creations out in the barn aren't going to be used for transport. I may generally lack what you'd call common sense and the social niceties you've got, but that doesn't mean I can't figure out when I'm being used. I'm not building mailmen, I'm building shock troops." Lita was starting to squeeze the chair she had been supporting herself with. "I thought I knew what I was getting into from the beginning. Organs and fresh bodies aren't exactly likely to be so forthcoming and still you didn't bat an eye when you found out I needed them. You've lied to me and you've used me."
I don't mind being used so long as my children are created and live to their potential. I believe I've made it clear in the past that everything I invent is a child of mine, same as those two up there." She gestured up to the room with the twins. "But you don't feel the same way and that's ok. I understand that I have a warped way of seeing the world, that's why I'm here instead of with my people. What bothers me is the lying. You didn't have to lie to me, you knew who I was, what I was escaping from, you had all that. And don't say you didn't, you did hard work to suggest that my creations would be used for something else. I don't know if I can trust you when it's been lies from the start." Lita took a few more deep breaths. She was on the verge of breaking down.
"I've hidden the truth too, I don't deny it, so here's my truth. I don't know if those children really belong to you though they are most certainly yours. I don't know if they're mine though I gave birth to them. Every creation I've had, every life I've brought into this world has turned against me, or tried to kill me. Why should these two be any different?" She could stifle down the sobs but the tears had come unbidden. Lita was afraid, far more than she had ever been before.
