"Ah but that's the good part technically it is all stolen you just happen to be the one that took it all. As for why we cannot skip the ceremony and why I wish to get married well that is rather simple its to contract a curse that was placed on me by my sister that prevents me from accessing my full power."

"Aahhh...hence, your intent to kill your sister." Jo nodded her head, "Sounds like a rather complicated family affair. And here I thought I'd be getting some nice in-laws."
She drank more wine and took a seat on the ground. Jo didn't waste much time getting comfortable and had her cane resting against her shoulder.
"But, still...just getting something without having to go through all the steps of planning the heist, threatening with physical violence and totally outwitting your adversaries...it just strikes me as a terribly dull way of making a living." she said, "Theft is rather a lot like wine. It's best when you can savor and enjoy the taste! Now, permit me to be a touch more inquisitive, but just what did bring about this curse? Why did this sister of yours require a marriage to break it? And why such the intense sibling rivalry?"

"Well if you wish to think of it in that manner think of it such as this. Whilst you may not be planning the heist on this treasure you will still need to keep ahead of me with each step. Being the elemental of darkness makes me intrinsically evil so you will constantly need to keep on your toes. Plus your will and your wits will need to go up against mine on more then one occasion if you wish to keep them. It will be different to most weddings purely because you will own my soul, Its the main thing that makes marriage between spirits and humans different to marriage between two humans or other creatures. As for why this curse was put in place it was simply a matter of the fact that I did not love plus I was hunting my sisters heads. Hence if I get married the proof of love will be in the pudding and the intense sibling rivalry was more a matter of being the supreme spirit and the last one standing." hoping that it all worked out well.

"And how are you certain any marriage to myself would lift this curse?" Jo asked, "Seems like it would imply that you have to find love of some sort. You would need someone to love you and vice-versa. I am more than capable...in fact, I dare say no one is my equal! But, you, my dear, hardly seem the loving type."
Jo pointed across the fire with the opened bottle of wine, "Which is not meant to be an insult. However, more an evaluation of character! Lovely though you are, you don't strike me as the marrying type. I know, for neither am I. The difference being my lack of a desire for familial bloodshed. Then again, I do also lack the necessary number of siblings to share this particular penchant." with a shrug of her shoulders, she continued, "Perhaps I am overthinking. Your dilemma just appears to have a bit more complexity than simply 'Marry the first woman you meet in a vanishing city.'."

"Ah that may be so but still a marriage is seen as the ultimate act of love in the elemental mind at any rate so if I do manage to marry someone then the curse will be lifted off the bat. Its a little sub-clause that the more mischevious of us have used for many generations. Plus I can garuntee mostly that there will be no bloodshed in the family because everything will be as I said open. Though to tell you the truth the very idea of marrying is repulsive to me."

Jo laughed at that last part. Her head tilted back as she did so, enjoying the remark, "Now that I can most certainly drink to that!" she said, before doing as such. A nice long drink from the bottle, "Ah, but that's no answer, now is it. By all accounts, it would seem that this would be a most beneficial arraignment. Yet, whenever I am on the road, I will come across situations that seem too good to be true..."
She looked at the bottle of wine, "And most often, I am right." she continued, "So, perhaps it's the years of being chased by the City Watch...but, I always like to keep an eye out for the catch. I'll have to think about this."

"Ah yes well the catch is exactly as I said I will gain my powers back. Unfortunately that means that many people and elementals will die as the part of me being blocked is the ability to kill. But with you as my wife I shall listen to you and spare any species or beings that you wish me not to hurt."

"Really?" Jo quirked an eyebrow, "And what would happen should I ask that you spare everyone?"
The proposal was getting more and more interesting. She could spend an entire evening tossing out hypotheticals. Then again she could do almost anything that involved talking for great lengths of time.

"well if that were the case then I would have no choice but to spare everyone regardless of how much I'd wish to kill someone. Although techniqually my sisters don't count when you say everyone so I would still be free to hunt them."

"Oh, you spirits and your loopholes." Jo smirked, "Nothing can ever be simple, now can it? Hah! But, nevertheless, I guess you won't find a much more agreeable companion than myself! Well, save for the whole 'Not Killing Everyone Else In The World' bit. Because, honestly, if everyone was dead, there would be no one left to steal from. And that would be dreadfully dull. So, in service to all of life (as well as my professional career) I am almost honor-bound to carry through this marriage! Haha, Daring Jo Lockwood...savior of the world! ...hm...I'll have to add that to my list of titles."

"Nothing ever is." Zeli said as she took another swig of her drink then spluttered her drink out into the fire. "Wait you've agreed?"

"Oh, ho! So you can surprised!" Jo grinned, "I'll have fun with you, no doubt. You must be a stranger in our marriage! You do understand my conditions, of course? No harm must come to the fine people of this land. Human, elf, or what have you. Of this whole world, really. After all there are plenty of countries with plenty of wealthy persona from which I might steal from. And there is simply no sense in ridding the world of all of life's joys!"

"Yes even the great dark spirit can be surprised." She sighed then held out her hand. "As for the arrangements I agree wholeheartedly to them on the condition that I am still free to hunt my sisters and can cause serious harm without killing deal?"

Daring Jo took the offered hand and raised it to her lips in a very polite gesture. She was may be a criminal, but that first mean she isn't without manners, "I suppose if there's nothing I can do, then there's little point in worrying." she said, "It is a shame, though...I've never had a sister-in-law to flirt with!"

"Well I may spare some of my sisters. Actually." Zeli went dark with her thoughts the shadows crossing her face and amplyfying her features. "For you my new wife I shall spare the vast majority of my family well at least my family that is still alive. Does that sound like a fair deal? Then you have some members of my family to flirt with."
