"As you wish," replied Anactoria, with at ouch of disappointment in her voice. She had actually wnated to go faster, but there was no reason to torment what could potentially be a new friend.
She pulled back ever so slightly on the reigns and Dancer slowed at once, falling out his gallop into and easy trot. "Better?" she asked. "You can even relax and let go if you want, not much chance of falling of at this speed, and Dancer isn't going to buck you as long as I'm around. Is that not right, Dancer?"
The horse's neigh was decidedly non-committal.
Anactoria shook her head. "Strange. He usually likes everybody..."

"Well I guess I'm not everybody." Iphie said, still holding on. "But thank you for slowing down. I'm not comfortable going that fast on a horse, or around horses at all I think I mentioned." She tried to laugh but it was half-hearted at best. The whole situation really didn't sit well with her, for a moment she wondered if perhaps she was allergic to horses but she had worked with them at the farm oh so long ago had she not. They liked her then, well one of them at least. Of course she hadn't been riding them then, that was for her father, the man of the household. She had other work to do.
She shook her head lightly and tried to banish the memory, one good memory could turn up far too many unfortunate ones. Despite her misgivings as well as the horse she was having a rather enjoyable time with Annie. She really did not want to spoil it.
