Shopping isn't easy (Alumina).

The magically cooled air settled on around Rin as she stepped through the door to her shop and house. Ahh much better. It was sweltering outside and she didn’t want to go back out there even IF it was an expensive delivery. She had had to eat all the cookies with chocolate she had hidden in her pockets. Not that she regretted in the least eating 12 choco chip and such cookies… just it would have been nice to enjoy them more than she had. Alas that was fine Rin thought as she turned and put up the giant OPEN sign in the window. Maybe she should get a helper of some kind to run the place whilst she was gone.

No… that wouldn’t work she had already tried that. She hastily walked all the aisles and checked to make sure no one had broken into the booby trapped windows. Nothing like a fireball to the face for going somewhere you shouldn’t. All was well though… such a disappointment. Maybe she should prank her neighbor the antique guy? It wasn’t like he was running a legit business anyways. Tricking people out of their hard earned money on cheap magic items just because they were old. No she would have to wait she had just pranked him last week with the stink bomb. Then her other neighbor had been pranked yesterday. Ugghh so boring, but she didn’t want to get kicked out of town so soon.


Taking her place behind the counter she sat and looked around… “So… boring…” She said as she stared at the empty shop.

Alumina's mind went over the incident over and over again in her head. The kiss, the yelling, her fangs....she sighed. She had been walking through that morning at an attempt to familiarize herself with Venus.

It was such a beautiful city. There was virtually no pollution whatsoever, the most she saw of rodents were squirrels instead of the huge black annoying rats she found in her own home town outside of Venus.

Heck even the people here looked great. Alumina had yet to meet a dirty street urchin with a hungry look on their face, no no all of the peasants were proper and clean. Alumina enjoyed this city, she was thinking about even staying if she was given the chance.

Normally Alumina didn't like traveling during the day. Thanks to the fact she was a vampire she had a fatal skin problem that would make catch on fire...something she didn't want. But it was still slightly dark early in the morning and the air was cool enough.

Plus Alumina had a parasol on her so she thought she would be safe. The one thing Alumina was not safe from however was about to come. She passed by a shop and blinked after noticing an open sign. "Odd...I don't recall this..."Alumina spoke to herself.

She stepped up to the shop and closed her parasol, gently opening the door, "Hello?Is anyone in here? I--"Alumina's face turned bright red as she saw the face from the night before.
That stupid shrine maiden.

"I-it's you!"Alumina cried out pointing at Rin in nervousness. "T-the thief who took my first kiss!"she shouted her body shaking again.

Yep… just another boring morning in the neighborhood. Maybe she should start to open shop later, like at 10 rather than 7. It made more sense to her it wasn’t like she got any real business at this time of the day anyways. Pulling out a morning cookie she began to ponder on the advantages and disadvantages of this strategy.

The cookie was good, but everything other than more sleep was on the negative side. Seems she would remain open early in the morning. “hmm…” Rin said when the bell went off over the door. YAY! A customer had arrived at last. Now she was going to sell the person everything she could because she wanted all their money. Not like the stick up give me your money kind either.

Wait… She recognized that voice. Her face turned to see a face she couldn’t have forgotten quite so soon. Maybe… Maybe the girl was stalking… err tracking her. Hehe even with the dim magical light in the store Rin saw the slight reddening of the girls pale cheeks. Then there was of course the slight stuttering of the words.

A smile crossed Rin’s face her dilemma from moments ago gone from her mind. “And your second one as well if I remember correctly. I have to say no one has ever gone for my neck afterwards though.” She said with a playful wink. She still hadn’t figured that one out, but there was time for that later.

Yes! This was the opportunity to learn more about the girl. After all she WAS one of Rin’s customers now. She TRIED not to make it a habit of kissing customers though sometimes she failed… it wasn’t her fault they were to pretty. Rin hopped over the counter using one hand and landed easily then bowed before the girl very lowly once again. Her ears were twitching like they always did when she was happy and those tails were swaying incessantly behind her.

“My name.” She said as she moved back up from the bow. “Is Rin, and I am the…” She smiled slyly and continued, “Humble owner of this establishment. Might I ask yours my dear?”

Rin acted slyly and easily before Alumina. Alumina wished for just a moment she wasn't so stiff so she could act that way.

“And your second one as well if I remember correctly. I have to say no one has ever gone for my neck after-wards though.”

Alumina saw Rin's cute little lips perk up into a smile. Those same cookie covered lips that had touched her own the other day. "Oh yeah...that..well it's kind of hard to explain but--"

Alumina stopped herself when she saw Rin hop the counter and approach her. Rin looked like she did this a million times, and Alumina wouldn't be too surprised if she had.

What am I doing here anyways? I'm just another pretty face to her anyways...

"My name is Rin...and I am the..Humble owner of this establishment. Might I ask yours my dear?”

Alumina did a deep courtesy to introduce herself and show respect. "My name is Lady Alumina Karen Nadine,I'm a noble who lives in a small town outside of Venus."she said looking down then back up to meet Rin's eyes a second time.

"You're a liar."Alumina said suddenly. She couldn't even stop her own words coming out of her cold lips as her expression became serious for the sake of the conversation. "You lied to me last night. Do you remember?"

"For one thing you made yourself look like you were a thief, but it's obvious you have no need to steal."Alumina continued laying down her accusation like a lawyer would. She finally decided to go in for the kill the one thing that had been bothering her since last night.

"You stole something very important from me last night."she sat her parasol up,"And I'm not talking about the kiss. I would like it back since I was saving it for some body else."

Ohh… wait... she had done all that to a LADY? Hmm maybe it had been a bad move after all. Would that mean the girl happened to have her own guards and such. Pesky things guards were, they were always saying “keep out” and “Don’t prank your neighbors”… no wait that was the city watch.

Had the girl just glanced her up and down? No… that must have been sizing her up… maybe for the execution. She was too young to die there were so many types of cookies she still needed to eat. And maybe one day even branch out into cake… if it tasted good enough. Wait… a… a liar? What had she lied about? She had been truthful with the girl as far as she could have told?

Wait… had she lied to the girl… hmm she was trying to remember the night well enough, but it was hard while concentrating on what the girl was doing and saying now. She… had told the girl she wasn’t a theif hadn’t she? Other than the kiss’s which the girl had clearly just said were not what was stolen… even IF they were scrumptious ones.

“I’m afraid I’ve not a clue what it is I took from you my lady.” Rin said an innocent smile on her face. No… really she hadn’t remembered taking anything of value from the girl… and her mind was racing to find out what it was. Had she been wearing the same shirt as yesterday she would have emptied it to show the girl.

OOC: she could have said something like. “I’m sorry, but once I’ve stolen a heart I cannot return it.” But that would be a BIT to presumptuous for Rin hehe.

Alumina's face suddenly turned bright red in anger. "R-rin..."she said then her eyes widened. "RIN YOU IDIOT!"she cried out. "It's obvious isn't it? I made you promise last night you wouldn't steal it but you did!"

Alumina angrily pushed Rin against the counter, "Give it back!"she cried,"Give me back my heart!"Alumina realized what she had just said and suddenly pulled away from Rin, she put her hands over her mouth in shock.

"Oh..uh..."Alumina spoke again, her hands leaving her lips. She sniffled a little,"I-idiot..."she repeated again wiping her hand against one eye.

Rin’s stomach hurt… It felt like someone had just punched her. Even if that wasn’t the case, she… had actually done it. It seemed far to wild of an idea to dwell on. Surely the girl was merely playing with her. Yes… But… the way she had acted unless the girl was a VERY good actor didn’t seem right. Rin stayed against the counter for a few moments as the girl finished calling her an idiot.

How should she react to this situation? She hadn’t even dreamed of it the day before. Then again the one the girl had fallen for was Rin’s playful, seductive self. Not that Rin wasn’t like that at least 50 percent of the day.

Ok... there was only one thing she could think of for the moment and it certainly seemed the right thing to do. She had seen it done a few times and now wasn’t exactly the time for kisses. Right then… nothing to it but to do it. (Hehe). Moving forward she brought her hand up along the girl’s cheek and used her thumb to wipe away a tear… which could be fake from the girl’s eye.

A smile crossed her face, and she leaned forward wrapping her arms around the girl and pulling her into a rather warm embrace. In her ear Rin whispered then, “I’m sorry, but once stolen a Heart isn’t so easy to return.”

Rin hoped the girl was merely acting. She hadn't exactly fallen for the girl. Not that she probably couldn't given time, but it felt wrong that her jokeing had resulted in something a bit to... much for her to handle. Hmm... perhaps this was that responsability thing she always heard about.

Rin looked like she was putting her thinking cap back on again. Always thinking that strange one. Alumina stared at her attempting to figure out what to do next. Let's review her options.

A.Run
B.Sex on the counter
C.More calling Rin and idiot and beating her up

Before Alumina could carefully choose an option it seemed Rin had chosen an option of her own. This time Rin's smile wasn't playful but warm and open. It had been a while since Alumina had seen a smile like that on any face.

“I’m sorry, but once stolen a Heart isn’t so easy to return.”

Alumina began to shake in Rin's arms and soon found tears spilling out onto her shirt. "Give it back,give it back,give it back..."she repeated over and over again but it didn't work. Words weren't spells and Alumina was no magician.

She wrapped her arms around Rin as well and began rubbing the shrine maiden's back for comfort. "I was going to bite your neck yesterday..."Alumina mumbled in a watery voice. "That's why,that's why..."

She began push her face into Rin's chest and breathed deeply. "That's why I need my heart back. Because I can't let a vampire like me harm a stupid shop-keeper like you. You...you aren't worth it."Alumina attempted to explain but she wasn't sure if that was the reason herself.

[Rin]

A vampire hmm… wait… what did she mean she couldn’t let a vampire like her harm Rin? Who said Rin was that easy to harm? It kind of made her mad just a bit. Of all the things THAT was her reason for the tears. Rin… wasn’t too sure on this part. Most people got to this part with Rin and ran away saying stuff like… you’d never be faithful you lecherous fox!

It wasn’t her fault… Then again she HAD never been serious about anyone before. Just attracted to the cute ones. That was what things were like right now. There was no real reason to delude the girl and get her hopes up… if they were indeed hopes and not fears. “Rin’s smile didn’t fade and she pulled away from the hug just a bit. The girls face moved away from her chest and Rin's fingers tilted the others chin back.

“Who said you could hurt me so easily?” Slowly Rin’s face descended before the others. Their lips touched and Rin started a rather deep… yet warm and non lustful kiss. So long as things didn’t get carried away maybe it wouldn’t be so bad.

Alumina felt her teas mix in with the kiss making it a surprisingly wet one. Not that she didn't mind. As a matter of fact she was pretty happy with the kiss the way it was. And it seemed like Rin didn't mind her feelings at all.

Alumina sooned pulled away from the kiss and for the first time in front of Rin, and for the first time in a long time in front of anyone she had smiled. "Thank you."she said again, but it wasn't a sad one just a happy one.

Alumina suddenly waved and left Rin like she had before and as she flew out of the shop Rin could hear Alumina shout,"Talk to you tomorrow~"
