"Fogling?" Zdena tilted her head, "I'm afraid I haven't heard of Foglings. Then again, I am from Volisov. We are a relatively new country. At least when compared with the established nations here."
But the name intrigued Zdena. She wondered what kind of people these Foglings were.
"If they have come here before, it may be in history. Or, perhaps, mythology. Depending on how long ago, this was." Zdena nodded and started to move, "This...may take some time. In the meantime. What else can you tell me about Foglings."

“Well the book I read said Foglings stopped taking pilgrimages around a century ago, does that help any?” she was not sure, since that still left a bit of a gap. She did not know what the other wanted to know, so she figured she would just spout so random stuff.
“Foglings, come from the island of Asteria. The Island is covered by mass fog so most stay away from it. We can um turn into fog as a way to escape. Also we are all pacifistic.” she started with this to see if it was what the girl had wanted to hear or not.

"Hm...interesting. Still leaves a wide range of time, but we may be able to find something." Zdena nodded her head as she led Teleia around. Effie gave off the orange light, as they headed in the general direction of "History".
"Really?" She turned, to face the Fogling, "What a fascinating ability. How are you're people able to perform such a drastic transformation?"

"Sorry." she replied to the fact given that it was still a long gap of history they would have to go through. That was the best she could do though. She continued to follow the other girl. She stayed a few steps behind Zdena just to make sure she was safe.
"I don't know how we do actually. It's instinct I think. Our Ancestors probably had a harder time then what we do. Though we can do it when we are in pain, also we still feel pain when we are in that form" yet again that was the best answer she could give. "Maybe we are made of fog?, so it is not a transformation." she giggled at the thought. Most like foglings were not made of fog, but who knows?
"Would you like to see it some time? I'd be more than happy to show you." she offered with a smile

"Hmm...so the fog turns into a human form. Interesting theory." she nodded her head as the girl did her best to explain the intricacies. Although the details still didn't help all that much.
"I would very much like to see this transformation. But, perhaps later, when things are better lit. Such a study must be done in better conditions." the faintest twitch appeared on her face. Something that might almost be recognized as a smile. Although there would be some who would debate this point. Still, Zdena was very pleased with the results of this outing. An interesting new creature had presented itself and was ready to be examined further.
"Ah, let's take a look around here. We may find something very early. If it was a century ago when you're people ceased contacting the outside world, than perhaps there was a reason. Some major event, or conflict that would explain such a departure. Something of that size should be easy enough to locate."

"True it is very dark here. We will need a better are for you to see. How bout my room in the east wing, after we are done here?" she offered, hoping it would please Zdena. After hearing the other question why Fogling's stopped leaving the island, Teleia frowned. She knew the story or at least what she had been told. It was not a happy story, and it made her cry every time she heard it.
"Um...I know why w..we stopped." she started to sniffle. Even the mere thought seemed to be upsetting her. She did not want to tell why, that much was obvious. Though she would if asked, since it could be an important detail. She stopped looking and starred at Zdena, her eyes showing how much she did not want to tell this tale.

The short inventor nodded her head. "Certainly." she agreed. A trip to the Fogling's room would yield some very interesting results. She halted, once Teleia did. Turning around, Zdena looked at the girl who was once more on the brink of tears.
"You do?" she said. But, she needed to do a quick assessment. Did Zdena just walk a little too far and the darkness had spooked the poor girl, once more? Or was it the topic that she had broached. Perhaps that was it. Well, it was a a 50/50 shot and those were decent odds.
"Are you able to tell it?" she inquired. "It may, or may not have any bearing on our search...if it was an incident on your island, that does not mean we will find record of it here. We must seek out the answer from Terre de Conte's perspective, after all."
