PERSONALITY: Verena is an observer and a protector. She has a very kind soul, but is not the type to allow people to get close to her. All she really does all day is watch the world around her, taking it in and then painting it. She is not one to be violent, unless the time calls for it. Verena has the odd ability of showing up when people need her the most, and offering advise that suits the situation without asking anything in return. She can often be found in areas surrounded by fauna or flora, or in the city observing the people. She has a belief that there is no bad person, just circumstances that lead to bad decisions.

BACKGROUND:
“The Statue of Verena.” A bed time story told to the children of Terra de Conte.
Ages ago, Verena watched over a city forgotten by time. Everyday she would help the citizens of the city. She enjoyed this life very much. Though as time went on, there was one woman on the city she fell in love with. She started to focus more on her than the rest of the city. Helping her whenever she could. One day, this woman that Verena had fallen for asked her. How do get the person you love to notice you. Verena was so very happy to hear this, since she believed it was her that the woman loved. She sat with the woman and gave her all the advise she could, and after that the woman left. The next day the woman came back to Verena with a man following her. The woman told Verena that her advise had worked and the man she loved not only noticed her, but loved her too. This made Verena sad, for the woman she loved did not return her feelings.
After this Verena secluded herself into a small room, and the city suffered for it. Verena did not care she just stayed tucked away from the city for a long time. A few years passed, and the woman Verena loved and the man that woman loved got married, and had kids. Though the man had become very ill, and was on the brink of death. The woman came to the Verena and begged her to help, but Verena just ignored her. The woman kept trying, but Verena kept ignoring her. Each time the woman cried, and each time Verena’s heart sank a little more. Soon Verena realized that if she loved the woman so much then her happiness should be what was most important to Verena. With this is mind Verena ran towards the woman’s house only to find the man dead. Verena knew what she had to do, and by using all of her energy she brought the man back to life. However even for a diety bringing someone back to life has it’s costs, and Verena had to sleep, but Verena was a Lares and when Lares need to sleep their bodies turn into small statues. The woman thankful for what Verena had done kept the statue in memory of her.
Years passed and the woman and man had died, their kids had dies as well. The statue had been sold, traded, stolen, and moved so many time that it found its way to Terra de Conte. Enough time had passed though, and Vereba had awaken from her slumber to a new world, the world of Terra de Conte. It is said, that good little boys and girls can make a wish to Verena and if they do their chores that wish will come true.
