GENERAL APPEARANCE: Bellespur's Light Weaver heritage is revealed in the brilliant pigment of her hair. Given to unruliness, it waves and twists in a thick mass over her shoulders, subject to whip and tangle by even the slightest provocation of the wind. And Heaven forbid the day be humid, giving the mane a notable 'poof' that brings a sullen pout to the owner's face. Her eyes are sharply angled, as are most Fossarian's, an a gentle shade of teal blue, ringed by paler robin's egg. She has a very slim build that has few curves to boast. Instead it's most similar to the lithe, slender lines found on the forms of dancers. Her limbs are full of length and betray a smooth flexibility in most movement. Her complexion is almost as rosy as her hair and accented by an ink black beauty mark like a punctuation mark on the back of her left shoulder.

PERSONALITY: Whimsy is her word de jour and it comes out practically through her finger tips. Laughter flows freely from her and she's as impish and spritely as a pixie at any given moment. Although soft spoken and gentle seeming, she's like a quiet storm through a meadow. She never bothers with anything for to long and her fickle attentions occasionally run towards the mischievous. Despite this fact, Bellespur is always polite, always cordial, and mindful of her manners--particularly towards those of stature. Although opinionated, she has the tact to keep her thoughts to herself unless asked. Still smiling, smirking, or giggling smugly is not at all beneath her.
Above all else, Bellespur is a showman. She loves the stage and theatrics and of course, attention. She is neither shy nor modest and has not an ounce of problem with making herself the center of a crowd. Be cautious of relying on her too much. She is no champion of justice or righter of wrongs--she'd much prefer to leave that to the knights and heroes. Similarly she relies on no one but herself. Her playful nature and sometimes immature facade mask a much more mercenary and detached individual than you might first assume she is. She can be singularly charming and charismatic, with a tongue made of pure silver. She sometimes like teasing people who are easily riled up--not out of any dislike, but more the way a first grader tugs the pig tails of the girls they like.

MAGICAL ABILITIES: Bellespur is a 'light singer' and has the ability to use sound (her voice and instruments) to manipulate and bend the light around her. In this way she can control it's intensity, movement, color, and even use it to generate minor illusions.
FAMILY: Mostly unknown. She does admit to having a younger sister named Maytune, however.
BACKGROUND: Late Winter, two children were left on the doorstep of The Symposium--an academy in The Floating City dedicated to rearing and training those known as 'light singers'. Such abandonment was high unusual and despite serious investigation into the matter, the parents of the two children failed to be located. The abandoned individuals themselves were in no position to answer any inquiries. Both girls, the elder was only four years old and the younger a mere two. Having no other option, The Symposium's Dame Aria took the young girls in. She named the younger girl Elsaria Maytune and the elder Dovarsy Bellespur.
From then on the sisters were raised in accordance with the teachings of The Symposium. Both were much younger than the typical pupils admitted into the academy. One top of this, most of the students were from good families who had long been producers of light singers. Their peers resented these two young girls they were forced to call classmates despite their youth and anonymous origins. It did not help that Bellespur and her sister proved to be apt and quick pupils. Maytune had a voice that could soar to eagle-like heights and Bellespur seemed to excel at any instrument she put her fingers to. Between them they fostered all kinds of animosity inside The Symposium, and their seniors expressed their irritation by lording their superior family connections over the siblings. Bellespur bore their arrogance with polite word and blatant amusement at their preening. Her sharp tongue came to bear only in matters of serious crossing of her sister.
That didn't last for long, however. Unlike she, Maytune was sweet, sensitive, and weak. In contrast to Bellespur's proud and unconcerned attitude, Maytune's obvious distress over the dislike of her peers gained her sympathy and pity and thus allies. As they grew older and Maytune found the ability to make friends, the siblings grew further and further apart. Her sister continued to be a paragon of malleability and obedience. Bellespur, however, was the opposite. Although she was never disrespectful or outright rebellious of her tutors, she lost interest in acting withing the guidelines of The Symposium. When she was sixteen, following an argument with her sister, Bellespur left the academy.
She earned a living in the quarters of The Floating City as a performer. Although she suffered heavy criticism from The Symposium who disapproved of a light singer using their abilities for something as trivial of entertaining a tavern, she became quickly popular. Bellespur didn't stay in Fossaria for much longer. After a few months she left The Floating City for the outside world. For a year she joined up with a traveling caravan known as The Glasscastle Troupe. During that time she learned dance and other stunts from the troupe's acrobat, a woman who went by the name Tessaren.
Bellespur was eighteen when the left The Glasscastle Troupe and went out on her own again. She continued moving around, playing on stages that ranged from seaside pubs to noble houses. She was undiscriminatory in her clientele, as long as she had a platform and breathless attention. When she heard about the hubbub and stir raised in the empire of Terra de Conte, she decided to make it her next location. After all, some of the most influential and noble individuals in the world were flocking to The City of Venus and it isn't everyday one has opportunity to perform before such august audience.
