Picking a Writer for Anactoria

Ah, but there are details to consider! So, if you think you'd like to write the forum's Princess Anactoria Sapphis IV, you might want to know these things. And if you don't think you would--welll, you might want to read these anyway, just because there's the slightest chance you'll change your mind.
So, if you write Anactoria:

• You'll have complete freedom with the character profile, avatar, personality and backstory and all that stuff. You can scrap it all if you want and start over! However, the name, "Anactoria IV," has to stay for sake of echoing the original Sapphis.
  
• By the same token, if you're going to write Anactoria, please be sure you've the free time ahead of you to show up regularly and post. An RP forum revolving around a character needs that character to stick around most of the time! We at Sapphis R2 will be reasonable, though--no one's going to be able to be around always and all the time. We're considering a back-up writer system.
  
• If you can keep a separate account for a different character and can still regularly write Anactoria with that acceptable regularity, you may do so if you keep Anactoria prioritized.
  
• You can get in on the contest for picking the writer, before it starts, until the end of this weekend. Simply post here.
  
• Yes, there'll be a contest to pick the writer if there's more than one person offering. What kind of contest? A small writing contest. What kind of small writing contest? That's going to be a secret for a bit.

Toph (profile pending) was never going to try for Anactoria's hand, so if I give up on bringing back Illa (who was definitely going to actively pursue the princess) there should be no conflict of interest. So I'd like to try out for the part. What do I have to do?

Except, uh, wait for a bit >> I know I said it would end on the 20th--and I hate to delay and go against my word, especially at the same time--but I think it's best to wait a bit longer, at least for a third person. As per your suggestion~. Sorry!
If no one shows up this weekend, the contest starts right away. That's without a "maybe" or "probably."
And you remind me that I need to mention writing the princess and another character that isn't chasing her, simultaneously, is perfectly fine. Time to edit.

Um, yes...I have a character up already, but I'll be willing to set aside her profile for another time if I get the part of the princess. Even if I don't do well in contests at all, I'll give it my best shot...

So! It's Monday. Which means it's no longer the weekend.
Which means time for me to post the writing specifics, and those are:

• Write a first post in which Anactoria returns to Sapphis Castle.
  
• The exact detail of how to do this is completely up to your own interpretation.
  
• And, actually, I don't think there's much of a need for any other restrictions. However, since this is intended as a demonstration of your writing style and interpretation of the Anactoria IV concept, you're otherwise free to have at it however!
  
• That also means you can totally abandon stuff set in Anactoria's profile--though let's keep her name, age, race as a human, and social status the same.
  
• Oh, and the deadline is this Friday. Which could theoretically mean Saturday morning, if I may be honest. There will be a vote. This contest will remain open 'til then.

Thank-you for your participation! You both did wonderfully. And placing the auditions on the forum worked perfectly.

So the deadline is concluded, but I still need to discuss your entries with the rest of the staff/decision-making people. I can't honestly give a solid date for when we'll make a choice, but I expect it to happen within a few days~.

So that's that! The audition is concluded; after discussion and deliberation, Toph was chosen as Anactoria IV's writer, and after PM's, the announcements are made.
