following her silently she nearly frets when she see's the occasional guard but none seem to notice her or bother. Was Jo seeing these guards as well or was it just in her imagination. Still Skye was keeping on her toe's not wanting to be busted as much as she was wanting to have fun. To the point that she was hovering slightly above the ground to avoid making noise.

Jo was not all that conscerned about the occaisional guard. In the cover of darkness, she had her free run of the place. Heading downstairs, she wandered around until she found a big heavy door. No doubt this was the storage room. At least it should be the storage room.
"Keep an eye out." she whispered, getting her tools out once more. This lock was a bit trickier, but it didn't prove too great a challenge in the long run. She grinned as she pushed the door open.
"And there we go! Come along, then. Let's help ourselves to the hard work of Venus City's finest!"

nodding she follows Jo into the vault and looks around. "Wow they seemed to have gathered a fair amount. Umm Jo maybe we should get out of here soon. I am starting to feel a little nervous." hovering above the ground even higher then before she keeps looking back at the door hoping nobody would walk in and catch them.

"Nervous?" Jo grinned, "But this is the best part! Well, almost the best part. The real beauty will come when they realize they have been ransacked. I'd rather not be here when they do.....but, I wouldn't be terribly disappointed, either!"
As she spoke, Jo half walked, half danced around the room, grabbing gems and coins and stuffing them into sack she grabbed when she entered. The thief came to a sudden stop, during her merriment.
"Oh. Oh what is this!?" she exclaimed, picking up a walking stick with a rather large gem on the top, "Exquisite! Oh, I am definately keeping this!"

looking at the staff and recognizing it she looks at Jo. "Careful of that staff I can sense a lot of power in it." flying over she starts looking into it confirming her belief. "I know this may sound a bit annoying but I think you should leave the staff here. Its known to me as a cursed object."
hoping that Jo was taking in what she said she flies back to the door looking out to make sure that nobody was coming. "Take as much as you can then lets go alright?"

Cursed? Power? Leave it behind? The last question contained words Jo had never used in sequence before. In fact, it made the walking stick all the more tantelizing and irresistable. What did her floating princess know about it? And just how was it dangerous? Well, she could find that out, later.
In the meantime she was busy slipping it into her bag of goodies, while Skye took a peek up the stairs. All was quite save for the occaisonal faint laughter heard echoing in the building. Jo hefted the sack over her shoulder and was soon at Skye's side.
"Right we're done. Now to make our exit and celebrate our victorious night in a suitably grande fashion!" she kept her low voice, despite the excitment that was creeping in through the edges.

nodding she picks Jo up in her arms lifting both her and the bag easily and flying up through a central courtyard she had seen earlier flying over the building and back into the streets, Then she started to notice it taking hold of her as she slowly starts to land and her wings fail she only has enough time to drop Jo carefully before crashing into a wall and breaking one of her wings.
getting up she tries to rub said wing but winces in pain and cannot pull it back into her. "ouch, ouch, owie" hiding one of her wings but the other bends and becomes black. "That's never happened before. Ow" wincing in pain again.

Jo had not planned on a flight out of the barracks. Well, she had...just not a literal one. It was a brief flight. No sooner had they made their way outside than Skyr complained of some pain. Her wing took on an unhealthy hue, which brought a curious tilt of the head from Daring Jo.
"My, that is peculiar." she said, "Perhaps you shouldn't fly so soon after drinking?"
Or, perhaps that stick had something to do with it. No matter, nothing a healing couldn't handle. And Jo had more than enough coin to spare on one of those.
"I have a place nearby." she spoke up, "Let's get you and the loot there and I'll see about getting that looked at. No reason for a pretty thing such as yourself should have endure such accident for long!"
Getting off the street would be an especially good move. What with guards possibly scowering the streets for people carrying sacks of treasure just like the one Jo had slung over her shoulder.

wincing as she starts walking towards Jo her body starts turning the same color of the wing causing her a sensational amount of pain. "Jo you didn't take the staff did you?" asking through pained grunts as she walked towards her friend.
"And yes lets please get to a healer quickly."

"I may, or may not, have stolen something that shouldn't have been stolen." Jo said, in an almost sheepish tone, before continuing her usual manner, "Even though, that does account for the entire contents of this bag...still! You have my most sincere apologies. Were any calamity to be falling, I suspected it would have fallen on me. Now then, my dear...to the safe house! Time to patch you up!"
Even while taking Skye's arm around her shoulders and hefting the loot upon her back, Daring Jo managed to move quickly and nimbly through the streets. The head start helped quite a bit. Going through the back alleys, she soon was at a modest little building.
"You'll be staying in here. The inside is far nicer than what you might think. Once I have you settled, I'll be off to find a healer! You'll be fine in no time!"

nodding she leans on Jo letting her take her to her house. Looking up at it she grins. "It doesn't matter to me how something looks Jo its how comfortable it feels and with you nearby I feel fine. Well a bit sore but you get the basic idea."
letting Jo carry her inside she collapses on the bed wincing at the pain coursing through her wing. "Don't worry about if you did take the staff though I am feeling the damage of it. Just trade it to someone before it seeps into you and everything should be fine. On the black market for it you should be expecting at least one hundred thousand for that piece."

"You certainly are kind enough." Jo remarked, "Far too kind for a trade of thievery."
In all fairness, No had half expected swears of revenge and curses upon her name. That is what the majority of the people she had associated herself with would do. Even (and especially) some of her former lovers.
"Sell? In due time." she nodded, "It would be wise to hold onto it. At least until we have a clearer picture of what we're dealing with. The healer will have a few more answers. He's pretty good with curses. I've had to deal with a few...incidents before. Why, I remember this one time I..."
Jo trailed off as she had been meandering about the room. While she had speaking, she took the stick from her sack of loot and had been spinning it around in her grip. But her real search had been for some of her own personal stash.
"Ah! Here we go!" she said, finally pulling out a bottle of bourbon, "Drink this. A little help for the discomfort! Now, without further delay, I will be off! Drink well and rest up. You'll be right as rain, in no time!"

sighing she takes a swig of the drink and nods grimacing slightly at the taste. "Hurry back. The quicker you make it the better, Same goes for selling the staff the sooner you've sold it the better it would be for your own health as well as those around you."

Jo was quick to change from the long dress. In one of her typical suits, her movement was far less hindered. She paused as she reached the doorway, "Certainly! This will be over in no time!" she said, quite merrily in spite of the rather dire situation that had found (put herself) in. And with that, she was out the door and back into the night.

"Please hurry back." She whispered weakly to the retreating form of Jo before she falls asleep
