"I doubt it's so easy to forget when you're all out in the open with your extra assets." She shrugged. "You're humanlike but the same could be said about elves or fairies though they would prefer that you not refer to them as such I'm sure."

"That is true although I am not sure what they would prefer you to call them nowadays. Children of the woods was what I was taught at any rate. But as with the elves and fairies its the same with the demon's we are not all evil and originally we weren't even known as demon's it was a name developed later. Our true name is the Fay.

I am under no compulsion to be on my best behavior to earn your trust so I don't have to hide what my kind has done, and just so we're clear, I've done horrible things myself. Evil is not black and white and a lot of it depends on whose side you stand on."

"That makes sense and I don't wish to hide anything that my own race has done either. I admit that there is some amongst us who don't share peaceful views although I have never known any to steal someone's soul. I think that the main thing this all sprouted from was the war between our races. That was a bloody day apparently according to my mothers."

"It must have been long before my time, my father's too unless we were simply uninvolved. That tends to happen with my family history." She didn't add the third option, that they had been deeply involved and simply stayed under the radar the entire time. That happened even more often. Still, her family never did discuss past lives and missions.

"I meant it merely as a poetic phrase to describe the sense that life has there. As though it is hanging on to every second and stretching it. I studied poetry recently and it has snaked its way into my speaking."
(Actually that is kinda true I was reading a lot of poetry recently and now seem to be speaking more poetic)

"I see. Well I suppose with life going on for so long old events would have more staying power to affect the present. The elves probably share your thoughts. Though for us humans we tend to forget about things rather quickly, most people can hardly name reasons for events happening more than a hundred years ago and fewer still the more we go back."

"We still talk about the reason's why our war started. It was to do with human's cultivating our lands and massacering our people. Some still hold grudges against your kind for the brutal treatment but most have gotten over it. Although it is rare for us to come out of our lands now."

"It is rather complex but if you go by the right path you enter it slowly and time starts speeding up slower then if you go directly across the line. One way you could potentailly die but if you take the long winding path then you come out fine."

"Liliana's curiosity blanched and died off. "I see." She glanced around unsure what they should speak of next. She was rather put off of the discussion of demons and magic. It seemed as if there was no agreement down that road and whatever she said would be discounted. Maybe she was wrong, but maybe it was all a lie, she wasn't sure she could tell at this point.

wanting a change of subject she herself started thinking about various things but having discovered a fair amount about Liliana already she didn't know what to talk about. Most of what she was said seemed to be of little concern to Liliana and everything she could say would be deemed a lie by Liliana's previous teaching.
