Eris Dismas was wandering the castle gardens. Getting past the guards was hard, and then having to find a nice quiet spot to remain out of sight. It was such a pain for something so superficial, yet it was just such a relaxing feeling to be here. She sat on a stone bench looking around her. It seemed like the whole world was blooming and the aroma of each flower, rode on the wind to fill her nose with such a beautiful odor. Yes all was nice and quiet. Peaceful.
She brushed at an especially dirty spot, another superficial gesture since her whole jacket was covered in dirt. She sat back with her back lying on the stone bench her eyes now staring upwards at the sun. Her position kind of defeated the purpose of being in a garden, since she really couldn't see anything besides the glowing spot the sun took in the sky. She lazed around like this for most of the day, there was no more need for her to steal or trick other people for money. She was getting married... and with it her monetary issues went out the door. This was her first time visiting the palace gardens and perhaps it would be her last but she'd take it to enjoy it to the fullest. She sat up with a jump and walked into the hedge mazes, a bounce in her step. Soon she found herself lost inside the labyrinth without another way to go out. So she called out, throwing worry to the wind, “Anyone out there? Umm... Help?”

An intriguing place this castle. More so that of the Garden Celesia currently found herself in. The longer she was there the more she felt the bushes growing closer to her. All a trick of the mind of course, but the very aspect was quite interesting. It was different from her own home much as she hated to admit it. The Flowers here and greenery left the close icy garden back at her own fortress of a castle in shame. All in the way you perceived things though as she was told by many visitors the gardens were quite lovely. If you are used to something you take it for granted… something to ponder on whilst wandering the aisles of green.
The how and why of her being here was easy… Hrist had recommended visiting the garden. Though she HAD been warned the place could easily entangle you in a mind boggling snare. Hrist was right… as she always seemed to be. Tirana would come along should she not find her way out. Ohh to have wings so that she could fly. Ice wings had proven a failure… and more painful a lesson than she liked. A voice echoed down the path to her ears and a smile spread across her face. What fortune… perhaps she had found a rabbit amongst all this greenery. “Yes there is someone out there, though I should rather enjoy your help escaping this place.” She called back.

She heard her voice and smiled. Another wanderer. She ran towards the source of the voice only to find a hedge blocking her way. "Oi! You over on the other side?" she yelled out and waited listening intently for a reply. Weird that it felt like cold was seeping through from the other side. Perhaps there was something that happened over there. Always one to assume the worst from her time living in the streets, she grabbed onto the hedge and felt its tiny branches poke into her skin. "Hold on I'll try to climb over." She said and started her ascent trying to ignore the pain in her palms.
She reached the top and sighed looking at her hands, now a bloody mess. Climbing down would be a pain. She looked down and saw the woman with the huge hat. "If I jump down will you catch me?"

Celesia could HEAR the girl headed her way. The other didn’t appear to be one for subtlety. Perhaps she was more shaken up then Celesia herself was. “I am over here should we search for…” She was cut off… SHE was cut off. It wasn’t a thing she liked. And as she waited for the other to reach the top of the hedge her hand reached forward and plucked a leaf which promptly froze in her hand… she supposed she would have to pull most of the cold back to her if she was to have a companion on this trek through the Gardens inners.
Her gaze rose as she heard the now clear voice from above. Ahh it seems her companion would be much like Chelay. Though Chelay was provided better clothing after she entered Celesia’s service. The girl seemed… dirty not that Celesia held any hatred for dirt she had had many pleasant times in places where dirt was the prevalent thing. Only now she wouldn’t be having near the fun she had then. Of course the company WOULD be worth it… she supposed. And if you looked close enough the girl MAY be a diamond in the rough like Chelay was. “Of course I will.” Celesia replied while holding out her arms. “However I can’t guarantee we won’t both hit the ground, I am not known for my strength.” No… she was known for other things.

She nodded and pushed herself off the top of the hedge and went for a leap of faith hoping to the gods the girl would catch her. Thud. The girl did catch her but they both hit the ground. At least she served as a cushion. She sat up and shook her head a bit dazed by the fall. It could just be her but this girl felt cold, her arms wrapped around her felt even colder than corpse's.
She shivered a bit it felt like the temperature dropped a couple of degrees. She looked down again well... She was sitting on her. She jumped off of her looking embarrassed. "Sorry..." she mumbled an apology and handed the woman's wallet back to her. "Force of habit..." She really had to stop it... It wasn't befitting of a future queen. "The name's Eris Dismas care to give me yours?" she asked and extended her hand to her.

The girl was… heavier than expected the clothes probably weighed a lot. She was also a bit dirtier. A small cloud had come off thegirl when Celesia’s butt hit the ground… and then her back. Luckily her head, and more importantly the hat was undamaged. She found the hat annoying sometimes, but it was a must of her profession and she did LOVE the thing… most times. Pity though Celesia’s arms had only encircled the girl’s stomach, t’would have been nice to feel a bit more. Alas with any luck she would get another chance. Of course when she hit the ground the control on her emitting the cold dissipated completely and she was sure the temperature around her probably dropped a few degrees. It was only to be expected though, and she forgot to pull it back in again… Hmm her coin purse…(wallet whatever ). She had always lacked the attention to catch such things if Chelay was to be believed. She was apparently full of openings that could be taken advantage of by many opponents when she was relaxed. Of course she felt no malice from this girl… maybe a bit boney. She smiled at the girl wryly, “Of course it is a pleasure to meet you Miss Eris. My name is Celesia.” She said leaving off the titles which seemed to pile up as time passed. Besides… perhaps the girl already knew who she was and was there to strike her when she least expected. Which of course brought her back to the point of feeling no malice from the girl. “You wouldn’t happen to know where we are in this maze would you?

She grinned broadly, glad that the woman wasn't evil. She might have been paranoid if she wasn't leaving the city soon but now she was mostly happy. Finally fate had been on her side and thus she was more trusting. “Here let me pull you up.” Eris said, grabbed her hand and with a humph she pulled her up. Wow she was taller than she seemed and the hat... It added at least an extra foot to her height.
“Huh? Sorry no idea where we are.” She shrugged looking around trying to find somewhere she recognized. “Just came into this maze and got lost already.” Eris smiled looking at the different hedges once again. “How long 'ave you been wandering in here?” She asked but without waiting for an answer started down a random paths. Heck, all cities led to Rome right? So all these paths must lead outside... No that wasn't right. She frowned as she ended up in front of another dead-end. “Guess we could climb over ya know?” She said and motioned the motion of going over a hedge using her hands. Hey maybe the woman could fly. It wasn't terribly common but not completely rare, right? “Or if you could fly we could just hop over the hedge with a lot more ease.”

Celesia had happily taken the hand not putting much thought into the simple act. Of course… the hand was small but ti seemed a bit rougher than she liked and it could be attributed to the dirt… and bloody cuts the girl seemed to have. A quick glance would have told her where they came from, but she paid it no mind merely staring at the now dirty hand as they walked in perplexion… and hope. Hope that they would soon come across a stream or… bubbly… water zone where she could wash it off. Until which time it was not allowed near her clothes or anything else.
The girls questions had gone unanswered and she hadn’t seemed to mind. As her mind drifted from her hand she realized this and then thought on that. The lovely voice from the other side of the bush… gaint shrub hadn’t been what she had hoped. A pleasant one, but she was hoping for one more… buxom and maybe more flesh showing. Then again… wait what? The girl had mentioned flying. That… stung her a bit. “I would prefere to continue walking. Climbing these seems a bit… dangerous.” Celesia said as her hand brushed along the edges. If you looked in it made sense to her now that the girls hand would be cut up a bit.
“As for the last subject…” She said drifting off the atmosphere becoming more gloomy. “Sadly I cannot do that, but if we wait long enough someone I know will come to find us… it’s just a matter of time… and if we can last without food… or water… or shelter.”

“Alright. Fine by me.” She shrugged and plopped down on the ground, her back lying against the bush. Now that she had settled down and actually looked at her hand again, Eris could see the wounds of various severity stretched across her palms, and when one notices a wound it usually starts to hurt. It hurt like hell. Groaning the girl clenched her hands into a fist trying to make the pain go away. It didn't work. No not all... It hurt more now that she clenched her fist and the thorns were stabbing in deeper. Bad idea.
Turning over to Celesia she sheepishly extended both hands towards her with her palms towards the sky. “Help... It hurts.” She pleaded looking like she was about to cry. Stupid plants.

Hmm it seemed she wasn’t used to the ‘street Urchin style’ anymore. She had gotten most of it down pat when she had first used Chelay to get her some territory. And long since she had been like the girl in the least when she was with those demons. Of course she hadn’t meant merely waiting around. That was purely unconstructive. They could at least walk and hope for an exit.. or inkling of one. Freezing the plants hadn’t helped her earlier… magic seemed a bit off or any that harmed the plants anyways. Quite annoying actually.
“I’m… not exactly a healer. I could probably numb them though. Might feel a bit different… and have some side effects.” She it would require a bit of cold magic. Might make the girls body cold even though it wasn’t that cold outside… well not when you were away from her anyways. And… maybe if she didn’t really put enough effort into it… a mild bit of (insert that thing where your limbs turn black from cold). She adjusted her hat… with the clean hand and peered down at the girl.

“Numbing it sounds fine.” She nodded as she turned her head around to stare at the wall of plants. “It feels like the thorn is still moving in deeper.” She said grinning sheepishly. “God that sounded stupid right? Like a thorn could stab its way deeper into my hand without me moving it.” It could be a trick of the mind but the thorn did look longer and wider. Lowering her head she bit down on one end and tried to pull a thorn out feeling a hooked end inside her palm. That was definitely not there before. “So... Um... Magic plants... Yeah.” She groaned inwardly, guess that's what she gets for cheating in this maze... Damn her hands started to hurt.

Celesia’s hand passed over the girls outstretched hands a light sprinkling of snow erupted then died immediately. “I could get that out for you…” She said. She preferred it if the thorn had been somewhere more else, but that was if the girl was clean. Also she would have to be more attractive. Then she could suck the thorn out and… other thing she decided to do from that point forth.
“Magical plants are a pain… or ones resistant to icy temperatures are anyways." She would probably not like this maze much if the leaves were off the bushes… shrubs… whatever. T’would seem like an endless maze of thorn’s rather than an endless maze of green. Ohh she would love an opening with something else other than row upon row of hedges. Maybe a few of those flowers that grew in the southern lands like this one. When she conquered this kingdom she would HAVE to make this her capital. And kill this maze off…
