Dark Road

[Rasha]

Rasha wiped her hand clean on the skin of the ‘foe’ that lay at her feet. She had been approached by a rather buxom Mountain nymph and though she had been at first distracted and taken aback she recovered quickly. She knew what was coming and so had allowed the Nymph to ‘seduce’ her as it pleased before making the kill. Were the being not a nymph she may even have felt a bit of pity, but she had heard of a great many travelers falling prey to the wiles of the creatures… beings?

Her gaze fell about the rocks around her.. grey as everything else seemed to be and the overcast sky did nothing to brighten her mood. She had been hired to take out a demon who had taken up residence along a trade road. She hadn’t expected anyone in Sapphis to know who she was, but it seems someone had the proper connections.

Unfortunately she had been here for two days and nothing had come up. Not a scent of demon at all. Her gaze fell back to the being at her feet. A sigh escaped her lips and the reached down then lifted the naked female form over her shoulder and started off the path. She could at least bury the thing rather than let something else come along and take it as they pleased for whatever it was they wished… food the most probable option though she had heard stories of the trolls on this mountain and female travelers. Actually this Mountain had a very bad reputation.. one wonders why a trade road would not simply avoid the blasted thing.

Having spotted the strange comer to her lands earlier on that day Zeli had taken a slight interest and saw her opportune time to approach as the traveler left the road,

' Perfect]/color]' She thought to herself. prowling down the mountainside flittering from shadow to shadow easily enough. As she spots the girl starting to dig she continues to observe but makes a slight noise come up from the shadows of the grave.

" Who are you? What are you doing here? Do you wish to meet with refuge for the night or are you seeking to wander these hills alone?" laughing softly to herself she waited to see the girls response.

[Rasha]

Rasha was wary of her surrounding the whole time. the nymphs body oder was that sweet type that the women at that House of earthly delights wore... only this was natural and now she would have it on her. She had to sigh as she pushed the body into the small grave... she would need a pile of rocks to finish the job. Better that way anyways.

Even if you were Rasha talkign shadows where you placed the body of a dead nymph weren't a good thing. also... she felt a dark power behind it.... or rather a power fo darkness. didn't mean it was evil.. of course most of the time it did. So she stopped and looked around then she pushed a bit of dirt into the whole with the Naked form in it as if to 'check' when she was fully aware the being was dead. of course whoever had that power didn't know she knew.

Laughing to herself again she used the shadows to take control of the dead body and make it reach up to grab hold of Rasha.

This close to where she had set herself up after her failure in the fight with her sister she was incredibly powerful although when the hand hit the light it shrivelled up out of her control and fell back into the hole.

" Let me be free of this place and I may reward you if you make me happy of course lift me from my curse would be preferable so I can hunt that accursed girl Leyley She said making it sound as though the nymph was doing the speaking.

[Rasha]

Hmm she would have been a bit frightened if she didn’t have some semblance of an idea as to what was going on. Of course she pretended to be startled. Let no one say her long life wasn’t without any acting lessons. On the contrary they had proved most useful many times in the past. She bent closer to the hole and peered inside. “So… a dead nymph wishes for me to kill someone named Leyley… do I get to know who this person is? And better still… is there some sort of… reward involved maybe something fun?” She sighed inwardly she needed something else. But hey she was supposed to think this was a nymph speaking.

The greater question being of course who wanted Ley dead? Sure the two of them weren’t on the best of terms at the moment… better than directly after the fight, but… better. Still didn’t mean she wanted the girl dead.

" The girl in question is difficult to kill the challenge in that should be fun enough. As for exactly who she is, well she is of course the current residing earth-spirit living in town. She has wronged me greatly and if you assist me I shall grant you anything your heart truly desires." truth be told she would simply kill the girl once her curse was lifted but until then this girl was needed.

" I shall tell you my name to start with now as well I am of course the spirit of darkness Zeli but then you don't need to know more then that now as I am sure you have made up your mind yes?" she said her voice sounding like a hiss.

[Rasha]

A skeptical look crossed her face. “So… what kind of curse is this exactly?” the last part surprised her quite a bit. Of course she hadn’t shown that on her face. “And that’s kind of a cheap response to my question about my reward. How do you know what my heart truly desires.” She hadn’t used her power yet so the ‘darkness spirit’ didn’t know that she had the powers. She would just have to wing it from here. It would be hard depending on how high up the chain the spirit was.

She had of course killed a great many spirits in her life… most low rank, but there had been enough of the higher ones to know she should be very careful around them. He questions would test the spirits patience… a good thing to know. If the spirit used her power enough then she should be able to pinpoint her location… or somewhere very close by.

Laughing softly again she decided just to show herself and jumps out from her hiding place amongst the rocks.

"Enough bickering already simply know that I am the ultimate spirit of darkness like Leyley is the ultimate spirit of earth. The curse placed on me stops me from killing and of course the way I know your deepest desires is much like Leyley I can scrounge through thoughts." She said preparing to dodge any attacks.

So this spirit claimed to be the original… or rather Rasha took ultimate to mean original when it came to these spirits. As far as she could tell they were merely weaker the farther out formt he original they got… so she would have to associate them that way. And if she hada thing for or against Ley then that meant she was probably VERY old. Also… she was kinda creepy looking.

Now Rasha had come across a great deal of people in her time. And she was definitely near the top. Of course curses tended to do that to anyone. They could have any number of after effects and… it seemed a fitting appearance for a spirit of darkness to take in human form. Of course if she could change like ley that meant that she could look like what she wished and she rather preferred this appearance in some way. Or maybe Rasha was just over thinking things and this was some small fry human driven mad by the power of darkness… the latter the more likely case of course.

“I’m not completely stupid I’m afraid. I need to know what the curse is before I agree to remove it. There could be a perfectly good reason for a spirit of ultimate darkness to be cursed.” She said acting the haughty human. Her arms crossed her chest and she waited for the reply from this ‘spirit’.

"Well of course I can understand that." She said softly as she opened her dark eyes and fixed them on Rasha's showing an endless abyss of shadows in place of proper eyes.

"The curse simply stops me from doing one of the things I love to do the most. It prevents me from tracking the other ultimate spirits and also from killing any living thing, I can't even step on grass anymore due to the stupid curse." She said cursing her sister as best she could.

"It also prevents me from casting harmful curses upon people. So if you remove it I would be eternally grateful." She finished staring at Rasha strangely.

[Rasha]

A smirk crossed her lips. Well now to keep up the premise she had been moving on just a short few moments ago. With the new information she could make her move. Assuming all of the information was correct… doubtful, but better information would be hard to come by.

She started to walk forward. Luckily the woman was under 10 feet away from her. Easily crossed. When she was standing in front of the woman a smile spread across her lips. “So…” she glanced up and down. Not her type… well not HER type. But the type of human she was portraying liked any sort of ‘fun’ regardless of type. “You want me to help you regain your ability to… harm others to a great degree…”

“Are you sure it’s wise to just come out and say that you are basically powerless to stop me from doing as I wish. Alas were you only as wonderous as that nymph, but…” She smiled a smile people didn’t like to see. “Well enough.” Ohh dark she had to get through with this quickly. She did so despise the type of person she was acting as. One reason her and the fox never got along.

"You pretty much summed it up, So will you help me gain my latent abilities and role back?" Zeli said purposefully blanking the last part of the conversation. Usually she missed flirts altogether but she purposely tried to put that one in the back of her mind thinking that this girl was flirting with her for some reason disturbed her.

"So do we have a deal? Because I truthly would offer anything to be rid of this foul curse."

[Rasha]

Her smile changed when the woman stopped talking. The accent dropped and the leering ceased all together. Her hand fell to the sword at her hip… the enchanted sword as dangerous to her as it was to those she used it against. The blade tended to fall into one of the elements of magic at any given day of the week. Today was toss up day when it would randomly pick one. Fortunately for her and not so much for any beings of darkness the property was Light. The sword was FAR from weak and should aid her tremendously in what was to come. Even IF the woman was what she claimed… spirits could be killed, even if it was only temporary.

“I’m afraid I’m not going to be on your side in this one. You see… I have a thing against mindless killing, and if Ley placed such a curse on you… there was surely a reason.” She said aloud as rain started to fall from the sky. The clouds could no longer hold their weight it seemed. Alas she supposed it didn’t matter too much. It was only rain and she was only stronger with less sun. the same could be said of the woman before her… perhaps, but with a curse on her should it be real then any fighting would be one sided.

Spotting the change in attitude Zeli grinned as the storm rose above them.

"Ahh so you wish to fight then? Well that works too if I die then I shall come back without the curse if I win I shall simply slink away to find another to help me break it. Win-Win situation there also what is your relationship to Ley that you would protect her with the risk of your own or someone else's life?" She asked sensing something wasn't right.

Rasha could only continue to smile. It seemed the woman was very forthcoming with information on her present condition. However one thing eluded her quite a bit. “I never mentioned killing when we spoke. Also your argument lacks a bit of power behind it. You see if you wish for me to Kill Ley and I were to succeed then that would mean I am strong enough to kill you at any time. This is of course do to the fact that Ley has obviously bested you and then I bested her. However… one thing eludes me.” She said then paused as her stance shifted.

“If you could merely come back after dying then why not commit suicide and escape the curse that way.” She was sure there were more stipulations and she would have to ask Ley about this woman next time they met. She was ready to draw her sword at any moment, but… she could wait. It was just like fighting Demons the more information she had the easier the fight and less likely she was to make any mistakes. her sword was pouring Light Magic energy so it masked her own power more then well enough when she kept it held in check. Or rather as she held back the greater majority of her power the sword's magic smothered her own. Valla was very far from a weak sword.
