The Countess looked at it and then tried to grab it. It was out of reach. She tried to grab it, straining her arm towards it, standing on her toes with her body pressed against the wall. Her finger barely grazed the end of the rope. Glaring at the thing, she walked back a few steps then ran forward and jumped her hand grabbing onto the rope. "Got it." She yelled up to Zdena giving her a thumbs up.
Dragging herself in through the window, after being pulled up the window, was taking a lot out of the woman. Wiping a sweat off her forehead, she landed on the ground. "Okay lets get searching." she said when she had finally caught her breath.

Zdena watched the struggle and was about to lean out the window when the Countess made a leap for it. Things got much simpler once she was scaling the wall. Zdena helped her in through the window and gave her a moment to catch her breath.
"Very well." she said, "Follow me."
With Angelina and the robot in tow, the Marquess traveled trough the halls. It was easy enough to navigate her way towards the archives. She just about had the route, memorized by now. A scholarly old gentleman stood by the door.
"I am a guest." she said, "I have also brought a research assistant, if that is acceptable."
There was a brief nod and then the three were waved inside.

The Countess couldn't help but gape at her surroundings as she walked through the library. It was quite intimidating, the tall bookcases filled to the brim with tomes and scrolls of all kind. This magnificent collection of knowledge had to be studied further, it just screamed research. Something she'd have to do after resurrecting her wife.
Watching the old gentleman fade away from sight as she got further and further from him, she turned around to Zdena. "He doesn't seem like a good guard" she said to her friend. "He's rather too old to actually serve a use, right?" Perhaps he was a sorcerer, that would make sense. Her train of thought on what role the old man filled was cut when she reached their destination.
There were no words to describe the room she stood in now. There were words that came close but fell rather short of the intended effect. Messy, cluttered, aftermathofahurricane-like were all good words that were close to the state of the room but lacked that extra few inches to get there. She carefully stepped over the piles of documents strewn all over the place to a chair(actually clear of books). "Does anyone actually clean this place up?" she asked out loud looking around with disdain.

"The belief may be, that guards are not necessary this deep inside the castle." Zdena guessed.
It was a valid concern, in regards to the state of disarray they were sifting through. The archived were not nearly as well kept as the actual library. It was dusty, dark and made navigation a bit difficult.
"In my brief excursions here...no, I don't believe they do." she confirmed, "But there is something of an order to it all. Though it is hard to pick up on."
The peculiar trio made their way through archives, Zdena leading her companions. It would still be a bit of trial to find what they were looking for, but it would be here nonetheless. Reaching a shelf, a large number of scrolls were crammed in. She doubted there was much thought put into the placement.
"Here. A collection of old land records. Outdated maps and other forms of business no longer relevant to the kingdom." she explained, "This might take some time."

"I see." she nodded grabbing a scroll from the top shelf and started to read through it. After a while she put it back where it had been. Looking around she grabbed a rather large tome from the shelf, and from what she could make out from the spine, it, hopefully, said "Tax Records."
"Could you perhaps tell me the name of the family we're looking for?" The Countess asked mentally facepalming. She had been looking for someone for a while now... Without actually knowing who it was supposed to be. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Zdena looked at some old map. It was interesting to see some old information. Interesting, but not useful nor relevant to the task at hand. She delicately folded it and pit back.
"Hm?" she looked over at Angelina, "Oh yes. Bloodthorne. I believe that's what they go by. If you find any information let me know."
Zdena went back to the shelf and pulled out a scroll. An old treaty with a neighboring kingdom. Again, nothing very relevant. They were searching for a needle in a haystack. But, perhaps Angelina would have better luck with the tax records.

"Bloodthorne... Bloodthorne... Bloodthrone. No it's before that." she mumbled to herself as she flipped through the old book. "I have a record of Bloodthorne paying tax to the king." Angelina remarked walking over to show her. "Doesn't say much about their location though, something about some mountain in the western lands."
Shutting the book she smiled, "That means my instincts were right. There is some cure for death in those mountains." She looked at the map Zdena had discarded and gave it a look. "Think you could find a map of the mountains? I don't think there'd be that many people inhabiting it. Maybe we'll find the house soon."

"That would explain why no one has seen it in all this time. It is probably in rather trecherous territory." she concurred, "Let's see..."
The inventor trailed off and sifted through the old documents. Old construction plans, treaties and maps of what Venus City used to be. Finally, she pulled out a map of the mountains. There were only a handful of territories marked out, making the search considerably easier.
"Not many people would chose the mountains as a residency." she stated, "And only those with something considerable to hide would elect to live as deep in the mountains as right here."
She pointed to a modest piece of property drawn into the map that appeared very close to the heart of the mountains.
"I propose we begin here."

"Then we shall go!" The Countess said grinning as she rolled the map and then proceeded to pocket it. "Alright! Back to the window so I can jump down with your robot and hopefully not die in the process." The woman announced cheerfully walking out of the room back towards the window. Everything's going to be alright now! Everything's working out after all.
She hopped on the robot, clinging to it as it jumped out the window. A crash was heard an a bed of flowers were flattened but otherwise they were fine. "Good job improving your Clock Guards." she shouted back smiling at the girl. She then realized that Zdena had to walk the long way out, no cool action movie scene for the inventor. "Sorry I took your robot!"

The one problem outlined by the Countess was voiced only after she and the robot were flattening the flowers. Zdena peered down the window at the two, quite pleased with her machine's durability. The larger models were certainly the most capable of demanding activities. She wondered, briefly, how much more punishment the newer more life-like designs would hold up. This brought her back to researching flesh-like substitutes to pig skin.
But, she didn't have the time dwell on this for long. She took to the stairs and navigated her way back to the Countess. It was a quick trip, but far from the speedy trip fr the window to the flower bed.
"Is there anything you need prior to our departure?" she inquired.

"Do I need anything?" Angelina pondered out loud, as she looked at herself. "No I don't believe there is anything I lack." she concluded dusting herself off.
She opened the carriage and let the young inventor walk in before her, finally closing it as she herself sat down. Gently she grabbed Zdena's hands between her own, and looked straight into the girl's eyes. "Listen. Thank you for doing this for me, and if there is anything you'd want of me. I'll be sure to do my best to fulfill it."

Zdena climbed inside the carriage and soon was sitting across from Angelina. She looked at her hands and then back up to the Countess. "I do not require much. You have posed me with a fascinating dilemma to solve. And the suggestions you have put forth are invaluable. I would be most interested in continuing to research this house of yours."
The carriage lurched forward and carried the party forward, "We should make a brief detour to fetch more Clock Guard."

"Is that all? Why don't you live with me then?" The Countess said smiling. "Then you'll be able to study the house 24/7 for 365 days a year and if the house ever decides to leave you'll be in it as it does so." She presented her idea, maybe the girl will take it. If not at least her wife will be back.
"More Clock Guards? You think it'll be that dangerous?" The redhead asked as the carriage almost threw her off balance again. Almost. This time she was anticipating it and adjusted her balance just as it did. "I guess it's possible that it's filled with monsters."

"Perhaps..." she said, "I would prefer to fix the house before that occurrence. As much as a permanent residence is appealing, I still have obligations to Rom Royal Industrial."
She paused and looked off for a moment, "Although, once we have it fixed, it would be a simple matter of returning to this point in time and it would be like I never left. Hm. Interesting..."
Zdena's features made a subtle shift towards a more contemplative expression, but otherwise remained unchanged. It was a very interesting proposal. One that warranted serious consideration. Especially when she could study the marvelous invention and return to her own time to one day take the reins of RRI. It was her responsibility as a Kilvorion, after all.
"Yes. It could prove quite the challenge. And with the amount of time that has passed, there is no telling what we may encounter." she nodded, "No one has occupied this particular structure in ages. All manner of creatures may have overrun it, or have made it into some sort of makeshift den. Not to mention the state of disrepair it is likely to be in. There may be call for heavy lifting. It is always best to make sure you have the proper tools available to you."

"You want to fix my house?" Angelina asked a bit surprised. "I'm not sure how you would go about doing this, but you are more than welcome to try." She didn't want to tell Zdena that there was a possibility that the house would just return to its own time when her quest was fulfilled. Then again, it would be rather funny to watch the young inventor struggle to adapt to her era. It would be quite humorous at the very least.
Dangers were present, the girl was wise to think ahead and it would be most interesting to observe her newer Clock Guard models. They would most likely put up a better fight then before.Hopefully. There was something more to this though, a little bonus to be exact. She'd get to see Zdena's workplace. Where her pumpkin was born. The Countess couldn't wait.
